HOW TO REDUCE GHOST LANTERN SPAMMING ROYALS IN SILENT SCHOOL!

Clan leaderboard doesn't seem that useful, since you receive no reward, but about clans, we would make a new mode called 'Clans Wars', which is basically DM but the only teams are clan members associated in only one clan. No close range maps, or maps with short hallways. That way, clans would at least have a bit more of a purpose.
Even if Silent School was removed, at least it will still be in Campaign. You know what, let's make Silent School exclusive to Co-op Survival, remove the chat in Co-op Survival (chat seems to be pointless in that mode) and that way, we wouldn't see that many royals being tryhards on us, and less no kill servers, because the royals will be forced to kill the monsters.
Are these good enough now?
No. Personally I don't care if the clan leaderboard doesn't give you actual "rewards" and it doesn't have to be that way. The reward is the satisfaction and glory you get for taking your clan that far into the leaderboard. Though I do like the Clan Battles idea, the clan leaderboard and this combined would give clans motivation.
Concerning Silent Schools I'm aware that it would still be in Campaign but that is exactly what happened to Slender Forest. It was a well enough popular map until the modified then ultimately removing it from multi-player. It's not the same if it's just on Campaign, it's fun to blast other things other than monster over again (but i do support the idea of it being on Co op survival, just not removing it from DM) on this map. I agree with removing chat in Co Op but nobody uses it anyways so it's not really going to affect anything.
Like I said before, these players are a community and the full removal of the Ghost Laterns(and take the Storm hammers with 'em) will help this issue almost completely.
 
I also suffered the defeat in hands of these Ghost Lantern users even when I try to evade the ghost-like projectiles, mostly in Pool Party. Looks like the weapon should suffer from the HARD nerf.
 
These are some good ideas, and some bad ideas. I also have some stuff to say myself.
  • Dating is pretty annoying, but at least it isn't all over the real game modes anymore. Sandbox was a great way to deal w it's them.
  • Nothing should ever be removed without a refund. Props to Rilisoft for refunding armored helmets, because I never would have expected them to do that. Even the ghost lantern shouldn't be removed without a refund.
I've also come up with some ways to nerf the ghost lantern without making it awful (even though the ammo nerf was a good idea).
  • Nerf the range. Truthfully, the main reason the Ghost Lantern is OP is because of how it's exploited. Nerf inn the range would make the lantern effective at its intended job, but ineffective when in the hands of a spammy try hard.
  • "Karma". This is a new effect that would be added. The idea is that if a ghost is launched and does not hit or kill anything by the time it explodes, the player who fired the ghost dies instantly.
  • Remove player piercing. The lantern is often spammed through places like the main hallway in Silent School, but making the projectile unable to pierce players would make the lantern a much more balanced weapon.
 
How the ghost lantern can be further nerfed....
1. Bullet radius should be decreased. Sometimes I predict it coming and move in advance, but I still get hit by it somehow
2. User should have to "charge" it before they can use the weapon. This allows more people to see the weapon and act appropriately to it.
3. User's movement speed should be decreased. So that they can't just walk into your face and shoot it
4. User damages himself when using the ghost lantern. Maybe a 20 damage to yourself?
Yeah. Seriously! The ghost still some how hits me even though I'm COMPLETELY out of the way.
 
Hey guys, JustLeafy here, and I have found one of the few major problems in Pixel Gun 3D, and one of them being the ghost lantern spamming royals.
You might not know who they are, but I'll fully describe them here: ghost lantern spamming royals are a new type of players in PG3D, which are usually a combination of the two worst types of players: tryhards (before, multiple OP weapon spammers, now, Ghost Lantern) and daters. (Teacher: Hey class, what is tryhard+ dater? Kids: Ghost Lantern Spamming Royal!) But seriously, now that you know, let's tell you how to reduce them.

How to reduce royals from competitive servers:
You know, in Silent School, don't you usually find these type of players? They no kill, date, and become a tryhard when anybody, and I mean anybody, tries to kill them. The exceptions could be their "pro royal friends", because sometimes they fight themselves to become the "best clan ever". All they spam now is Ghost Lantern in the main hallway with endless dodging, making primaries, if not all of the weapons except the most OP ones, being something too weak to encounter these type of players. Well don't worry, I will tell you how they should be vanished.
  • First of all, remove Silent School from Deathmatch. If you like this map and you are not a royal, I'm sorry, but this must be done, because these players must also be done with. Silent School should turn into a less creepy place, renamed to Happy School and put into Sandbox, or maybe keep it the way it is, but in Sandbox.
  • Remove clan leaderboards. It is one of the few purposes why royals play PG3D.
  • Sandbox should be deleted from PG3D, but however, it will still be in the Adventure menu. It you tap on Sandbox, it will automatically lead you to install a free app which is Sandbox mode itself. That way, royals, and not just them, but most of the daters would leave PG3D and move to that app.
"But JustLeafy, what about other players using the Ghost Lantern?"
Well, good question. Some royals may not completely quit PG3D and would come back to spam the Ghost Lantern, and other inexperienced players may spam the Ghost Lantern and all, but we got a solution to stop the Ghost Lantern spamming.
How to reduce, or completely remove Ghost Lantern spamming:
There are three solutions. Either:
  • Default ammunition should be 1 with a maximum of 4 in reserve.
  • After firing each ghost, there should be a "Reloading" feature.
  • Completely remove the Ghost Lantern. By meaning completely, I mean remove it from the game. Previous owners will no longer have it.

I certainly agree with what you are saying about Ghost Lantern Spamming, but even though Silent School is a really good map for Ghost Lantern. Pool party is also good because most players go through those hallways on the sides of the map which is really good for Ghost Lantern as well, so now I can't enjoy that map anymore even though I really like it because it goes well with my Solar Power Cannon. And also why take out clan leaderboard? (Sorry if this question was already responded. I was too lazy to read all 29 replies on this thread). Clan leaderboard is just for show and who gives a **** if you are in top clan. You are not getting any rewards in the first place.
 
I have an idea for Ghost Lantern to prevent its ability to be spammed:
= Reduce the damage from 15 to 10 (deals only 25 HP) and the UP1 from 21 to 15 (only 40 HP)
= Slightly buff the cost.
= Nerf the capacity to 1 for both upgrades.
 
I know this post is kinda late, and ghost lantern spamming still continues... now peeps with ghost lantern would say 'stfu just cause u don't own one / can't afford one', and lemme just put it like this I have one max upgraded happy? I'm still not happy with how op this weapon is, peeps are exploiting it's reload time which is annoying, and unfair if they fix it should be a lot better. It should be like this: so it starts reloading when u take it out ( if u I had switch right after firing), if u did let it finish reloading before putting it back in the inventory then it should be all fine, see the wait time will make all the difference. ( srry if this comment made no sense had to edit multiple time, blame iPhone auto correct for that, or my typing either one, xD)

2. Go to a big map.

3. Watch where you're going. (It's a really slow weapon, and hard to hit with. Most of the kills with it come from people smashing themselves into it.)

I do ghost lantern spam from time to time, and when I do I get like 20+ kills guarenteed. (So I understand spamming it.) However, the wall penetration should be removed, that's about it. That way you wouldn't be able to completely block off a small doorway with it, or hide behind a wall and just shoot it through at people.

75 gems would be better. They don't deserve 40 gems because they ruined others' fun with their GL spamming.
I do have ghost lantern though luckily I can't spam with it but they should ban the GL spammers it's retarded they ruin all the fun and so if they do take it off they should give spammers less gems of the refund and others who don't spam get all the gems they spent on the GL but I rather keep mine cuz I literally lost all my trophies after restoring my stuff. Tried without it but hackers and GL spammers r always in the way and I can't get none of my trophies back because of that. They should literally ban all hackers and spammers.
