with only a few days left for the chest event, what do you guys think the fastest way to get ribbons is?

So I was playing Flag Capture, and I brought the enemy flag to our base, but the flag wouldnt be captured (give us a point) it would just stick on me, was there an update that changed how the game works or is there something wrong.
