I can't...I have 5000 coins that I worked for about 2 months for in multiplayer :( and not to mention my skins

For the new update does it need ios 8? Or can it be compatible with ios 7, because when I open the app all it does is say rilisoft then the screen turns black. That'd be great if someone could help or perhaps fix this ps. I'm on an iPad mini 1 if that could be of any use.
