Hero here with a warning! The 8.0.0 Update comes with a WHOLE LOT of new weapons and other awesome stuff! As well as the crappy new "one-tap weapon swap" feature which is horrible, but that's not the point of this warning thread! I'm here to warn you that before you update, spam survival till you pass out! The reason behind this is that:

  1. Survival in the 8.0.0 update is GREATLY nerfed!
  2. Rank up rewards now reduced to 20 COINS!
  3. Spamming Campaign will not give you any more coins!
So, yes, not only does RiliSoft add some really unneeded features to the game, they also get extra cheap on us too. It's best that you farm to a minimum of 5k coins since this is long-term we're thinking about, yo! I'm farming up to 10k, hopefully you will all follow suit and farm before farming gets much harder for the rest of us.

Good luck forumers and see you all on the battlefield! And yes, I posted this BEFORE the update is released on iOS so most of us would be aware of this and could farm ahead of time.

I believe what Rilisoft is thinking... They are trying to get Noobs challenge of getting tons of coins...

Depending on your tactic, generally anywhere from 2-4 hours, 5 at max, I'd think. Mind you, this has to be continuous, without stop, otherwise you'll lose the stream.
 
Maybe everybody is thinking about this all wrong, I mean think about how hard it is to get all the items in other games; respawnables. I think it's a good idea, I've recently got back into the game since I heard this was coming out on my new iPad. I will save up or transfer my iCloud data :tongueout:
 
Guess I finally have a reason to get 20,000 coins...

However, since they don't force you to download new updates released when launching the game, I'll have plenty of time to do this.

Trust me when I say grinding for coins isn't easy in the new update, my cousin updated his Android and he confirmed. Takes A WHOLE LOT more longer. And the Respawnables? Brah, do you even no-JB exploit?

Yes during my time in android, I have noticed that it takes
50k to earn just 1 coin and 100k for 2coins
 
A good method right now would be to grind up to 1-2k a day (or if you want to be extreme, try to grind 5k+ in the next 24hrs. ;))

I did hacks on that game before it was cool. *Insert hipster meme here* I got to Level 30 (no hacks), then afterwards I hacked the game so I had a crap ton of gold and whatnot to buy everything else. Eventually I just got bored due to lack of communication in-game, so I decided to bail. Probably won't go back to it now, it'd take an eternity to hack through it now (especially since almost everyone now has those "special edition" weapons and gear).
 
actually the coin nerf has its own good reasons, the only bad things about the update is colour template, weapon switch, control change and laggy when shooting a lot of the different types of guns

Update 1: coin farmed for about 3 hours straight yesterday and got about 1500-ish coins, although I spent some of it to get the SWAT rifle and the firestorm G2 (wonder what the G3 will be like...) so I have about 1100 coins now, I will continue to coin farm after I have my MAPS testing later today.
 
I love that new one tap weapon switch system. Makes going from, say, secondary to premium easier. One of the reasons why I play PG3D again.
 
I'm guessing what Rilisoft is trying to do is get people to purchase more coins. Before, one could earn roughly $20 worth of coins in an hour via Survival, making it definitely not worth the money. Now, being more difficult to farm, some may consider opening up their wallet.
 
Harder to get coins? Awesome (No sarcasm)! I remember when this game was new (I've been playing since the game wasn't called Pixel gun 3D, for those who're wondering (release date), and you had to actually work hard for coins. The ranks were the worst idea ever, they just gave out far too many coins. Survival was ok i guess, but that still gave too many. The good days....

Also weapon upgrades were a bad idea too (imo), but we're talking about coins here.

I don't have anything else to say.

Btw, my IGN isn't PixelLegend anymore.
