One of the issues here on the forums that I feel needs to be addressed as swiftly as possible is the presence of countless amounts of low-quality, repetitive threads that have been created recently.

Taking as an example the Suggestion sub-forum, it has been cluttered for several pages with the same types of suggestions from the same member. Most, if not all of these suggestions are shoveled out with little noticeable effort put into them. Additionally, the poster of these threads fail to properly address input from other users that could make the suggestions better, along with designing future suggestions to reflect upon any improvements made in previous threads. Thus, the suggestions are pointless and fail to contribute anything to the forums or the game, and I feel they have no reason to remain here.

Along with that, because there are so many of these suggestions, the suggestions sub-forum has been rendered almost unusable because one would have to sift through several of these threads before finding any threads made by other members that could actually contribute to discussion around the game. Plus, considering how often these threads are created and bumped, any new suggestions contributed are quickly buried under the same shoveled out suggestions.

So, to sum up, threads like the examples mentioned above that are made with little effort in mind, do not properly address input from other members or previous suggestions made, and are made in excessive quantities both fail to contribute to the forums and its subject matter, and clutter up sub-forums and rendering them almost unusable. Therefore, I believe these heaps of threads do not have a place on the Pixel Gun 3D Forums.

To address this, I strongly advocate a revision of the forum-wide rules in which a new rule is added preventing the creation of low-quality and/or repetitive threads. I have spoken with a few members and a staff member on the issue, and we have all agreed that there needs to be certain criteria set within this rule that defines what a low-quality/repetitive thread is to prevent there being any misconceptions or misunderstandings between members and staff over what makes a thread of that nature. I believe this matter should be discussed here so that we members of the forums can come to a general and fair consensus of this criteria. If a rule is added addressing low-quality/repetitive threads, I feel any threads created before the rule was instated should be removed, as their presence is a real and current problem to the state of the forums.

If you have any questions, thoughts, or concerns, please reply down below. This has been a controversial topic as of late, so healthy discussion and clear perspective from multiple people with differing opinions about the issue would definitely help us come to a fair conclusion.

sounds pretty good to me, though i have one question...
are "suggestions'' supposed to have a purpose? because as of now all i've been seeing is that the suggestions sub-forum is more of a media to share things, not much ._.

i get that this rule should imply to every sub forum but regarding the suggestion tab...it feels more like a section to share ideas rather than discuss them, kinda like a blog you freely post your ideas in, not like the discussion sub forum, i hope i got my point across

What is the distinction you think of between "sharing ideas" and "discussing ideas"? I'm thinking about someone sharing a suggestion, and the discussion being talking about the pros and cons of the suggestion, how it would affect the game, what could be done to possibly improve it, etc.

Sharing ideas isn't $#!+-posting identically suggestions.
