Hello everyone, I am GoldMan27, and today I am going to perform ANOTHER rant. This time, I am telling you all how "necro-posting" actually works.

    The Forum Rules clearly outline:
    Therefore:
If the post is 30+ days old, and you cannot contribute to the topic, DO NOT POST AT ALL!
If the post is 30+ days old, and you CAN contribute to the topic, DO POST!

Now, there has been some reports coming from the Device Support/In-Game Issues section about necro-posted threads. This is where the necro-posting law is exempt, on some conditions:
    • Contributing to the topic at hand will not result in a removal/warning point, though the report will be rejected.
    • Posting in the topic with content not relating to the topic at hand will result in a removal/warning point, and the report will be resolved.
    • Authors reserve the right to update their threads, HOWEVER they MUST be over 30 days old in order to do so.
So, hopefully you've now all been educated on the necro-posting law. And hopefully, this will be my FINAL rant. (spoiler: it most likely won't be...)

I have gotten many reports in regards to necro-posts, so allow me to clarify how this law works AGAIN:
    To restate that:
    • The post must be 30+ days old for it to be considered "Necro-Posting" (Meaning the last post was made 30+ days ago, prior to the supposed necro-post)
    • The post can only be stated as a "Necro-Post" if the post is off-topic, or has no relation to the current thread's topic at all. If the necro-post is on topic, then there is no need to report.
Keep this in mind the next time you decide to report a post for necro-posting.

Much appreciated, Goldman! If you post more examples of how the forum work, I'd be thankful.

You'll generally get a sense if someone's post pertains to the topic or not. (If you lack this, you lack common sense entirely.)
