Pixel Gun 3D has been free for the past few weeks on the App Store. I'm surprised nobody on here bothered to post about, since the WIki has known of this since 2 weeks ago.

I think the reason it's free might have something to do with PG3D closing down on android. The people who took it down didn't even say a reason why they did so.

No , most likely because they see how many players they have paying for it , they've reached a satisfying amount of money and made it free for a while . Thus creating more players and for the new players , paying for coins makes RiliSoft even more money .

are you saying rilisoft just wants money?

That's kind of the purpose of a company. They want to make big money, so they themselves can have lots of money.

Anyways, Rilisoft isn't the first to try F2P on the App Store. Many other apps have done it, but no other app has allowed the F2P users to buy every item in the game without a premium currency of sorts. If anything, the "Freemium" business model is used in many games today (Respawnables, Real Racing, etc.) though it's pretty crappy, especially for Real Racing 3.

I got the free douwloud before you told me about it

You sure are a real fast one, aren't ya?

I have to say one thing I'm glad RiliSoft did when they made the game free (I only saw this game when it was free, I didn't even have an iPad when it was paid) is that they actually made it playable for free. Not like other freemium shooter like Battle Bears Gold (where you actually have to pay to be able to jump). One thing I really liked about them was the parity in the game first starting out, as in they don't match you with high level players at the beginning for the most part. I started playing Respawnables and BBG and that was what turned me off, right off the bat you get matched with high-level players before you get a proper feel for the game. From what I know that generally still is the case in this game, the Wiki said tiers had been removed in the new update, but I started a new account on a different iPad and nine times out of ten I played against people of similar level. Anyways, that's the end of my rant :tongueout:
