Hello there, Qwertyperson here.
If you aren't familiar with Unity, it's basically an engine used to make Pixel Gun 3D, Dead Trigger, and other games on different platforms. Now they've got a new version called Unity 5, and here's the best part: all of the pro features are now free! Along with some new toys Rilisoft can play with. Here are a couple of them...

Real-time Global Illumination
Have you ever seen light coming from outside, but the sun isn't facing that direction? Well this is what was causing it. Unity finally found out how to replicate that, and made it free for all users.

Real-time Reflection
Even though this isn't needed for a game like Pixel Gun, it's still cool to play with.

With the power of the two of these, you'll be able to make beautiful scenes like this...

If you think these graphics would lag the game, don't worry. It has been proven to work on mobile devices. Here's some proof.

I've been following Unity 5 off and on. I had Unity 4.2 on my old laptop, but never got around to actually using it. Well, with summer on it's way, and 2 months of freedom, what better thing to do than to learn the new Unity 5 and use it. :smile:
