PixelPocalypse: Part 4

DAY: 6

I saw Cal when I went downstairs with this new kindof pistol lookin' thing. He said it was for his protection encase some more bandits try and break in. He also gave me another thing, it looked like a rifle of some sorts, it was glowing purple for some reason.
"Its called the PSR... its just a prototype of course."
When I grabed it. It started to glow a brighter purple... Then I think it died when it went dark again.
Cal then immediacy grabed it from my hands.
"Oh Dear... Its just a prototype... I'll get it fixed soon. I just need some more things..."
"So... More scavenging for that... whatever it is you're working on?"
"No, I got all that I need. I don't want to put you in danger for something like a screwdriver..."
"Im still gonna head out. Need to stock up on some more supplies."
"Be safe out there!"

Heh. "Be Safe..." How can you say that when everything you do is not safe...
I reached the East side of SanBlocksisco around noon. There was some buildings that looked to be untouched. Only thing is. theres a crap ton of zombies in the way. Thank God for the silencer Cal made for me... Creeping along the walls of some ruined buildings, I managed to loot some of the wrecked store houses.

Alright! Found some more ammunition, and some more... grounded up coffee. Some empty reusable bottles. and something else with a blowtorch attached to it. The sun is already starting to set. So I grabed some more bolts and screws and setted off.

Found some cans of pasta along the way... Seriously! East Side is the way to go! As I was walking I heard some gunshots and yelling around the center of the city.
"HOLY $#!+!!!"
"GET BACK!"
"RUNNN!!!"
Then I heard a roar... Then the ripping of flesh. It sounded like some sort of... New Infected? As long as it dosent bother me. I don't care. It means Less competition against other people.

"You won't believe what I've found!" I tossed him the thing with the blowtorch attached to it.
"Oh My!!! Where did you get this?"
"Found it on the ground... Do you want it?"
"I'll keep it untill it runs dry, Now I can repair the PSR!"
"Yeah... Do whatever you want Einstein. Ima go to sleep.
"Wait."
Right when I was about to go upstairs...
"Did you hear any sort of roar while you were in the city?"
"Yeah... *Yawn* What of it?"
"Umm... Never mind... I'll explain it tomarrow morning."

DAY: 7

I was greeted with a rifle and a cup of coffee from Cal. He looked a bit more frantic than usual.
"What's all this for?"
"That roar... that same damn roar... It means nothing good!"
I tried to calm him down by giving him some coffee... But he just pushed the cup outta the way.
"What is that roar anyways?"
"That roar... that was the same roar I heard when the Weapons Program were destroyed by a containment breach"
"Slow down Einstein. So it was the same monster that destroyed your weapons program?
"Yes. And now. It travelled here, where it will kill anyone insight. We just need to kill it first."
He grabed that one purple glowing rifle-lookin' thing from a box. except instead of looking like a broken piece of $#!+. that was broken. It looked like one of those sci-fi rifles you see in movies. He handed me the rifle-lookin' thing. When I pressed a switch on the side of it. It started to hum and glow a brighter purple.
"Coool... What does it do?"
"If Im right... That weapon should be able to pierce through all non-organic objects without any damage to the object being pierced. And when the condensed light hits an organic target, the target will immediately dissipate!
"Umm... Layman's terms. please. My head is already starting to hurt."
"You shoot it at something, and that something goes bye-bye"
"Isin't that with all guns?"
"This isin't the time for joking around. That... Thing, can be here any minute! we need to fortify this house!"
"Whatever you say..."

The rest of Day: 7 will be covered in part 5, because something big happens.
