Greetings to all pixel gun forum members, today I am announcing a proposal for a new event themed day day known as Forum Day. What is it? When is it? Or as Ruby Rose would say 'What?'.

What is it?
Basically it will be a day where we encourage all past and present members of the forums to log in and participate in one or more of the events being held on the day.
When is it?
I have not finalised the time or date of the event, although I would say that sometime on the weekend of July 11th-12th would be an ideal date to hold this event. The time and date will be confirmed shortly.

Events:
Pixel Gun 1vs1 Tournament:
This will be a 1vs1 tournament with a knockout system to determine the winner. Only basic weapons are allowed and no armour or accessories will be allowed at all. Custom deathmatch games will be made for those participating. Registration for this event will close 2 weeks before forum day, so please message me or a staff member to notify them of your interest into this event.

In order to participate in this 1vs1 tournament, the following rules and requirements will need to be adhered to:

1. Must have been a member for at least 3 weeks before the tournament and have at least 25 posts or positive ratings and no warning points in that time.
2. Players will play a best of 3 game, with each game lasting 5 minutes.
3. Allowed Weapons: Best Friend, Pixel Gun, Combat Knife, Sniper Rifle and Signal Pistol.
4. No armor or accessories will be allowed.
5. Players drawn together will fight in a map chosen at random.
6. Any accusation of cheating must be supported by a screenshot.
7. Any case of cheating or rule breaking will result in a ban from the tournament and forfeit win to the opponent as well as other possible penalties here on the forums.
8. If a player does not show up for a game, the opponent will be granted a bye to the next round.
9. The victor will receive a commemorative YOU'RE WINNER! trophy, complete with perfect grammatical engravings and satirical value.

Custom Skin Contest:
The custom skin and Cape contests will be held from the start of the day and any player may participate in the contest. All past and present skin and Cape designs are welcome to enter. Registrations close 5 days before the start of the contest, so that I may create a thread where all participants may place their designs and be voted upon. Ideally, I would like to see matching skin and Cape designs, though if you only have one, you may still enter. The design with the highest number of votes will be declared the winner. Anyone who will not be able to be online to present their designs can send them to me and I will enter them in myself on your behalf. Votes can only be made once the thread has been created. Votes will be made by naming the member whose design you most liked, using a 3-2-1 point system. You can not vote for your own design. All participants are expected to provide a vote.

Pixel Gun Themed Art Contest
The Art contest will be run with the exact same rules as the skin contest, except that instead of judging skin and Cape designs, the judging will be focussed on selecting the best pixel gun art. By pixel gun themed, I mean that it must have something to do with pixel gun or the fictitious pixel universe of the game. I will accept both graphic and written artwork, such as a chapter of a pixel gun themed story, like some of you have aleady created. You may present entries that have already been posted in other threads if you choose to do so, or you may enter an entirely new piece of art. The voting system will be exactly the same as in the skin contest. If you are unable to present your artwork after the thread has been created, please send it to me in advance and I will enter it on your behalf.

Pixel Gun Best Ideas Contest
This event will judge the best ideas for the game. This event will be held from well in advance of forum day and will be stopped and voted upon on forum day. Anyone may enter and provide their ideas, however when making suggestions I would like you to consider whether the idea is likely to be implemented. I don't mind a great sense of imagination (like slow motion kill cams) but not asking for things like free gems. Once the ideas are in, each person may vote for one idea, though may not vote for their own. The cut-off for ideas will be the day before Forum Day, so that voting can begin.

I will finalise the dates and times of everything when I hear back from VashX. I have not ruled out adding in more events like a team tournament, though I'd like to hear your ideas if there's anything in particular that you'd like to see. Yeh I'm not the most optimistic person on these matters, but you have to admit that, at times, they have listened to some of the more logical suggestions.

The only reason I'm only suggesting basic weapons is because a number if older players have deleted the game and will not be able to use most other weapons. There is also the issue of getting players from different levels to play together, so either rilisoft will have to remove tiers for custom games with passwords or we'll have to have level based tournaments.

So basically everyone will be armorless and only use the simple shotgun, pixel gun, sniper rifle and flare gun? The good thing is that those guns can automatically refill their ammo upon death, so we wont need to worry about ammo. But how about the capes and boots? Should they be banned or not?

I regret to have to inform everyone that I will be unable to run the Pixel Gun Forum Day Tournament. Due to the fact that the latest version of the game has not yet arrived on ios, I do not believe I will have the right amount of time to prepare everything in time to ensure that the tournament can run smoothly. In addition, I have not yet received confirmation from Rilisoft on whether the latest update allows users of different levels to play against each other on password protected custom games, which is another issue i thought would have been resolved by now. If anyone else would like to take on the responsibility of running the contest, I can provide some assistance, although the preferred time of 14:00 UTC is quite inconvenient for me, especially given that I will not be participating. With regards to the other contests, I will set up threads where those who have registered will be able to post entries and I where I will provide an option to vote for the particular entry. I am sorry if this news is disappointing, I too am disappointed, though I hope the idea of a Forum Day is one that is welcomed in the future. Thanks for those who have supported me and I hope that everyone who is registered for the other events are still enthusiastic about those contests, I'm looking forward to seeing them.
