yeah I think we might have to wait almost two months again. I will be done with ios and move onto my kindle if they don't update it soon. I'll still play on ios sometimes though.

I honestly think the reason the updates don't come out simultaneously is due to two major factors that we keep forgetting:

  1. Apple has a much more explicit review process for their app updates.
  2. The iOS and Android apps are programmed in different languages.
Not only is it the update process that takes a while, but the programming. iOS apps are programmed using Xcode, which is derived from Objective C programming, a somewhat low-level programming (meaning it's difficult to program in). The Android app is most likely programmed in C# (since the Unity engine can only program scripts in Java or C#), and trying to transfer commands and such from one language to the other isn't quite the same as copy/paste.

Or, it could be the opposite, they can program the app using the same engine for both devices, but the trick is they need to program in Xcode for the iOS updates. This would also explain why it takes much longer, because they are trying to program the Xcode application to run the app that is using Unity with C# scripts.

Putting a poll up for this is quite pointless really. Not all programming is point-and-click, it takes a lot of work to do. Take it from a guy who himself is study the C# language. I can tell you that constructing "if" statements is quite easy, but to program a full-on video game and make it work with a game engine, is much more difficult.

You can't exactly "time" when updates will be released for apps, because programming also has lots of bugs. When you start developing games or applications, you will undoubtedly come across bugs in the system. Besides, I'm sure if they were to attempt to "time" the release dates to match up for both devices, you would end up waiting far longer than what we have been waiting for already. The reason Android gets them first is because Android doesn't need a specific language to work the application, whereas iOS uses Xcode as it's safeguard, so it prevents confusion in multiple apps with different markup languages.

Well i thought of a solution that might work submit the update for ios first then a week and a half later submit it to android

Oh come on, you knew it would happen sooner or later. :tongueout:

But yeah, Rilisoft I think needs to manage their resources better. Then again, it may just depend on the programming, some things are harder to code for different systems than others.

We waited 2 months for the 6.0 update for iOS last time. We can wait more than 2 weeks for 7.0

Looking on the bright side of all this negativity, we can save up our coins for the Bass Cannon and get it before all those disgusting IAP peasants spend money for instant access.
M I right or M I right?

When you've already bought the weapons in the game up to this point, there's no contest. Every player that has all the weapons is probably battling right now either for XP to rank up, or for coinage to buy the weapons. Besides, I think almost everyone here has every weapon in the game, so that's a bit more common-sense than an original idea.

As a Rank 13 with all weapons unlocked and 6207 coins right now, there isn't really much to do... You guys want me to go around in the game advertising to join this forum?
Never mind, that's a bad idea (Don't want those bloody daters infesting here).
If you dont want daters then try to find a decent server with none of em

This is a little random.. but PG3D 7.0.2 MIGHT come out on July 4, since the update is mostly about D-Day
Ironic, but highly unlikely. Given the statement Rilisoft released the other day, they stated within "a few weeks". This could most likely mean 2-3 weeks at most, well past 4th of July.
