Was this a bad purchase?

So after a long 2 levels of savings worth, I decided to buy the elephant hunter, I have always wanted it but my PSR came first. Well I finally purchased it and decided to test it out on heavens garden. I was instantly dissapointed. The scope was too much and made it hard to aim for head shots. The fast rof was even worse, I ran out of ammo faster then the PSR. I didn't even stand a chance against Gold armor, let alone ruby. Was this a bad purchase or will it grow on me?

It will grow on you, plus the new update adds an upgrade increasing it's lethality, ammo and mobility
 
The current update for IOS and Amazon makes the elephant hunter crappy,but in the new update (which will hopefully be coming soon) it has a new upgrade to it. I didn't like it either when i bought it,but it grew on me. I had to stop using it though because it became weak against armor.
