Hello everyone,

So, where do I begin? Well, let me start off by saying my memory isn't the best, but I do remember a good bit, so I'll try my best to recall my time of PG3D, rather, a time pre-8.0...

I came across PG3D back in October of 2012. This was around v3.1.0, back when the Redstone Cannon/Laser Cannon only had one tier and was OP as heck as well as pricy. It was some good fun back then, just blasting away some players and whatnot. Back then I was running around with different names and the like, as well as an entire slew of skins. I guess to put it in perspective, because of how few social features the game had aside from chatting, I didn't have any friends in the game at this stage. I just basically killed, won, bought, and repeated.

It was around March 2013 (circa v4-5.0) that I had discovered a PG3D Wiki. At this point the Wiki was just really dead. It had a following, but the administration was barely active and the articles were very much out of date. So, in time, I made full-on spec sheet Wiki pages and the like, creating map pages, weapons pages, info boxes for stats, etc. Around the time my memories of PG3D were more of the same, except I had a definite name tag: Moving Target. I felt like using this because I didn't have a necessarily great K/D ratio, so I felt like taunting the other players anyway by making a skin with a red/white target for a face. Turned to be somewhat effective, even if it did backfire a tad as it improved accuracy for other players. I kept the Wiki running all summer and into the fall when v6.0 came out (which was still loads of fun).

In February of 2014, I thought to myself "there is a Wiki for this game, perhaps there is a forum now?" I attempted to make a forum for PG3D in September 2013, however that quickly bombed. Little did I know that VashX would make this forum in October 2013, as I stumbled upon it in February 2014. I made an account, and the rest is history I will disclose in a separate memoir (if there's enough interest for it). As for PG3D, I got better, helped form the first forum-based clan (Pixel Gun Pros), made many friends, hosted the first successful tournament (even if it took 8 months for a victor to be decided) in PG3D, and helped to lead another clan on here. All of that which I can go into further detail on my next memoir, again if there's enough interest.

It was when v8.0 came along that I had swiftly removed myself from PG3D. As soon as the premium currency hit and the coin rewards were nerfed severely, I decided this game's golden age was officially done for. Within a few days after the release I ceased playing PG3D, and continued my work on the forum as a Moderator, until my retirement long ago.

And thus, I end my memoir. If you have any questions regarding the old PG3D and such, feel free to ask. I'll be watching this thread, so I should be able to respond with relative speed. And if you guys want me to do a memoir of my online experience with PG3D (i.e., the Wiki/Forum), feel free to say so or rate this post. I guarantee you my online one will be a much longer read, by the way. ;)

Awww I remember the older versions. I miss the old maps and the co-op survival whatever it was called..it was that game mode where you killed the monsters and got a crazy amount of coins. Didnt like the wands and magic weapons though......but everything else made this game so much fun. I remeber playing it hours a day. I honestly think version 8.0.0 HAD potential to be a great version, but they had to ruin it with the unbalanced dragons breath and freeze ray rifle. I think in that update (or one the one after it) they made the magic weapons stronger (oh god.). And with the additon of armor it made things more hectic. I wasnt completely bothered by it and continued to play until the christmas update that introduced gems and gears. Then it got utterly ridiculous. Stuff got even more exspensive and lop-sided. And the fact that I couldnt earn enough gems to buy myself a new gun or upgrade made me stop playing a lot.

Cool! I wonder if you were recently viewing the wiki.
I actually haven't viewed the Wiki in ages. If Appler is still on there though he's one heck of a user. Same with Galli, I wonder if he still owns it.

I didn't do a whole lot of co-op survival actually. I lived for Team Battles though, found you got more coins out of it really. I admit the wands and other wall breakers were hectic, but in time I found joy using them alongside the Headhunter. Man, I used to camp the Blue team's rooftop spawn on Parkour City and slaughter the enemy team like crazy with that and the Fast Death/Redstone Cannon. Good times.

In essence though, the nerfing of the Survival coins was what killed the game for me. Made it a brutal grind to get coins post-8.0.

It's been a really long time too, I remember those days when you could rack up like over a hundred coins... Now it's full of Ghost Spammers and wallet-warriors/money hackers...

ApplerGamers came back a while ago, however, he is currently inactive.
BTW, Galli always owns PG Wiki because he founded it. However, he seems to be less active then he use to be. However, I'm one of the most active members in the wiki, currently.

If they removed it, then previous owners will still have it. Instead, they should remove it like how they removed the Lucky Strike.
Since he's a moderator, he's most likely being sarcastic. Same with all other moderators on other websites

You guys were lucky to play this game 2 1/2 years ago, I couldn't even convince myself to not waste money on crappy indie games besides the old PG

Uhh Ive missed the old versions ;_;

Poll has been added.

Admittedly the rating system thing doesn't give me as clear of an idea as to if a lot of people want it or not. Not sure why I went that route. :grimacing:
