This game is now dying and many players prefer tf2

I do believe 'TF2' is played on computer. Pixel Gun 3D is played on tablet...so I don't quite understand why you would say to play TF2...that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense...

Uhmm, thats pretty much PG3D 2016 in nutshell. However I still dont get why you keep sayingt that TF2 is better. As far as I know (I havent played TF2), they are quite different games.

As an old player of PG3D, this is in my favor of opinion. Most of the recent updates are just buy gems to get this weapon not work hard on coins to eventually get this weapon. Old players remember back when premium weapons were the most broken weapons in the game, you had to work for the coins and til you got them or pay for them which was cheap back then. As for the forums, the way I see it right now is in the state of stable. Many of the old forum users I knew back then are mostly gone though.

In short for my rant, Pixel Gun 3D is falling apart from the old players and is now pay to win. TF2 is still somewhat relevant.

You know, I've played both games for over a year now. And I'd like to make a long, long reply on this thread comparing and contrasting PG3D and TF2

History:
PG3D: Pixel Gun was launched on 2012 on mobile platforms, as an infinite minecraft-styled zombie shooter. The game was kind of fun, until multiplayer was released, and it was better. The forums were made and Rilisoft listened to everyone, including bugs, balance, etc. Then armor was added, so it would make you harder to take down than usual. It was kind of broken at that time, and players were complaining. But Rilisoft stopped listening. Later, on December 2014, alot of fan-favorite weaps were taken off the armory and gems came into existence. That was basically the doomsday for PG3D. And from that point onwards, Rilisoft buffed gem-bought weaps, and nerfed coin-bought weaps. The classic lobby theme, BAMALAM, was replaced with some orchestrated ambient theme. Later on, more fan-favorite weaps were taken down, like the big buddy, and things were even more broken.

TF2: Team Fortress was originally a mod for the classic 90's game, "Quake". Soon, a Valve employee took interest on the mod and invited the makers to create a stand-alone version called "Team Fortress Classic". It had a variety of classes, such as Soldier, Heavy Weapons Guy, Field medic, Engineer, and so on. Each class had their own set of weaps and purposes. It included gamemodes and maps such as CP_Dustbowl and CTF_2Fort. Later on, it was announced that there would be another Team Fortress game called "Team Fortress: Brotherhood of arms". It was then never spoken of by Valve ever since the trailer at E3. A few years later, in the 21st century, we got Team Fortress 2 in 2007. With a more cartoon-ish art style, compared to the more realistic, serious art style we had before. TF2 was then constantly updated with weapons, maps, gamemodes, and most importantly: HATS. Later on, it formed a community like no other, where people made custom maps, gamemodes, weapons, and hats that were waiting to be confirmed to be put in the game by Valve. There were events such as "WAR!", "Scream Fortress", and "Smissmas". but then Ovetrwatch was announced, and about 75% of the community left TF2 for overwatch. Later on, in mid-2K16, we got the Meet your match update. Which broke the quick-play system, nerfed alot of weaps, and added competitive mode. On the 2nd day, we got "Meat vs Match". Also known as the Heavy vs Pyro WAR! event. At first, it was a broken update. But over the next 2-3 weeks, all of that was fixed. Pyro eventually won the event and is now awaiting a new class pack on the next update. The playerbase went from millions of players, to about 39k.

Gameplay:

PG3D: This game has alot of weaps for use on the battlefield. Sometimes you're working with a team to win, other times, you're forever alone. Inflicting headshots deal about 2-3x more damage than a bodyshot. This makes aiming a top priority when trying to take down your target. Weapons were split into six categories: Primary, which included Rifles, SMGs, Machine guns, and Shotguns. Back up/Secondary/Sidearm, which only had pistols, revolvers, and a portable DJ station. Melee, which... wait, does this category need explaining...? No...? Ok. Special, which consisted of Flamethowers, Sharp Object throwers, and a bunch of other Sci-Fi stuff. Sniper, which had Sniper rifles and bows. And Premium, which has Rocket Launchers, Grenade launchers, A (Removed)Cannon, and a bunch of other things that I can't even explain, I mean, WHAT DOES A PIG HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH EXPLOSIONS?! I MEAN, COME ON! Gamemodes include: TDM, Win by making sure your team has more kills than the other. DM, which is a free-for-all where you need to have the most kills, Co-op survival, where you compete to have the most damage dealt to monsters... Why is it even called CO-OP survival when you're COMPETING??? Deadly Games, which is basically HG with guns. Flag capture, which is basically CTF. Point capture, which is basically 5CP on TF2, except you defend your points instead of taking over the entire map. Basically KOTH with 3 Cps.

TF2: This is a team-based class-based game, which has 9 classes, including Scout, who runs the fastest, and can double jump. Soldier, who can Rocket jump, which is a skill to be honed in this game. Pyro, who burns people, extinguishes teammates, and reflects non-bullet projectiles. Demoman, who uses a grenade launcher, and uses a sticky bomb launcher to set traps, or Sticky jump. Heavy, who mows down enemies with his minigun, and eats a whole lotta sandviches. Engineer, who builds sentries to defend a point, builds dispensers to heal teammates and provide ammo, and builds teleporters to lead his teammates to the front lines. Medic, who can heal and has different healing guns that have different Ubercharges. Sniper, who eliminates from afar, and throws urine at people. And Spy who can turn invisible and disguise as enemy and friendly players, but is the hardest to master. Gamemodes include: ATK/DEF, where RED team has to defend their territory, and BLU has to overthrow RED and take over. KOTH, where a team has to defend the middle point for 3 minutes. PL, where BLU pushes a bomb cart to detonate RED's base. PLR, where each team delivers their own bomb cart to the enemy's side. 5CP, where a team has to take over the entire map by capturing points. TC, where each team defends their territory from the other team. PD, where each team has to deliver enough beer to aliens(Yes, I'm serious). PT, which is basically soccer with guns. SD, where a team was to deliver a rocket into space with Australium.

Story:
PG3D: A man is sleeping in his barn at San Blocksisco. At 4:15am, he hears someone digging on his farm. He pulls out a gun and looks out, only to find a horde of zombies. He finds one of them had an Uzi, and sets out to kill the rest of them. Someone cries for help, and he rushes to the cemetery. He was too late, only to find a dead person, and an evacuation plan. He sets off into the city, only to think he needs to enter the hospital, which was pointless. He finds a helicopter, damaged, flying to prison island. he follows it, only to see that it crashed. He rushed there to help, only to be too late again. He finds a map to Area 52, and goes there. He finds someone actually alive there, trying to escape, and he tells him the source to the infection. He then finds a portal and goes through it, going to another world. A girl is being attacked my a mutant chicken, so he saves here. She tells him about the zombies and the portal. And they decide to head to the dragon's island. They then defeat the dragon and are reminded about their cubical form. He brings them to another world, near a castle. They confront the wizard, and are told about why they are cubical in the first place. He brings them to a space station. They find a Saucer docked nearby, and set off the Earth, which appears to be fine after the infection. they are then confused for aliens by the humans. They find the creator, who was responsible for the world's cubical form. The hero then confronts the bug, and then becomes the bug.

TF2: Zepheniah Mann had 3 sons: Redmond, Blutarch, and Gray. Gray ended up being underweight on birth and his father wanted him slaughtered. Until Gray was abducted by an eagle. Years later, Zepheniah entrusts his land to Redmond and Blutarch before death. The two fight over the land. They then each hired 9 mercenaries to wage war. As the years go by, they get old. The Engineer's grandfather had invented a machine for them by that time, that lets them live forever. They then meet their lost brother and are assassinated by him. He then proceeds to build an army of his own mercenaries that run on cash as fuel. The mercenaries then unite together to defeat the common threat.

In my opinion, I like both. but I prefer TF2 more than Pixel gun.

I've played (switched to Overwatch) TF2 competitively (UGC HL Silver) and PG3D pre-Update 8.0.1, they're honestly hardly alike. It's like comparing a Pineapple to a Cyanide Pill, and for the record, TF2 has waaaaaay better balance compared to the hot steaming pile of mess PG3D is right now.

I don't get why so many people compare the two, they're completely different games with the only thing similar being the first person camera.

I know right, and for some reason a good amount of people i know that played/played PG3D turned out to either played or are still playing TF2 i don't get the sudden connection

The reason for my comparison reply is to show how TF2 and PG3D are 99.999999999% different. I still play TF2 and I still play PG3D. Except I spent over 200$ on TF2 worth of hats, weapons, taunts, and other things. And I Re-install PG3D every time I try a new play style, and every time a new update comes out, so I don't really spend money on that. I just thought making a more, in-depth comparison would make people around me (including Real Friends, Steam Firends, and Minecraft Friends) stop telling me that one is better than the other and comparing their side to my statements. But, even with PG3D being a broken game that appears on the top of the list on Blocky FPS, TF2's playerbase has shrunk MASSIVELY. From 2015, TF2 was overshadowed by the Juggernaut, Overwatch, and many, many players left for open beta. Later on, Meet Your Match was released and was a broken update but was fixed within the next 2-3 weeks. But the damage that update has done is still there. Players who left from the MyM update probably won't come back. And I'm one of the 39k+ people who still play TF2.

EDIT: More people are coming back to TF2 at last! from 39k to 55.6k players! PRAISE THE ONE AND ONLY LORD GABEN

TF2 rules dude.

TF2 Is dead, for a F2P game.
That's what alot of people say. The majority of people saying that are former-TF2 players, the minority (At least 5-25%) being OW players (Some were also former-TF2 players). The game may have a bit loose knots at the moment (By "A bit" I mean A LOT), but if there's ONE thing keeping the game alive, it's the community. Still producing SFM animations, creating new maps, thinking up new hats, taunts, and weapons as suggestions (At least Valve PAYS ATTENTION at the suggestions and adds at least 10 or more on updates.), And just being awesome in general. The spark of TF2 isn't the company that made it, it's the community that keeps it on it's feet.

"Overwatch is a TF2 copy."
Half of TF2 players.
More than half. Even though the developers actually explained that they liked TF2 alot. All they did was add abilities inspired from MOBA's, borrow at least 20 assets from TF2 and change it a little (i.e. Torbjorn's turret (Similar to the Engineer's Sentry)), and just brought in ATK/DEF, KOTH, and PL. So this whole "TF2 vs Overwatch" debate is utterly pointless, and complete Bulls$%t

They'll only start listening when the profits start burning.

So until then, let it die and wait for RiliSoft to make big changes by then.
