i think you're talking about how sliding the button to switch from the throwing items to the Supports and gadgets doesn't work, then you're in luck :3
all you have to do is stand still and slide the button, then select what you'd like to use then start moving again!

No, there's still the frag grenades. My friend can use them without other gadgets, but i cant.

Alright, what you do is go to your homescreen, tap and hold PG3D app, drag it to the trashcan and press "Okay." It solved my problem with this game.
