This is a rough draft for the Tournament Rules that may be used in the future universally for all Pixel Gun 3D tournaments. It is still a work in progress, as all content is subject to change. Keep in mind, this will only act as a basis and general outline for tournaments sanctioned by The Pixel Gun 3D Tournament Club. This will not apply to private/clan-held tournaments.

Server Guidelines:
  • One-on-one matches require a 20-kill ceiling limit, unless specified otherwise. Team matches may require a higher kill ceiling, depending on the map chosen and how many members there are per team.
  • Tournament matches may only be fought on the map specified by the tournament host, or by public vote.
  • Spectators/Gamekeepers may be permitted, should both opponents/teams agree to this.
  • Spectators/Gamekeepers must be out of the opponents fighting area, or in an area where they are always visible enough not to get shot at.
Rules of Engagement:
  • Both/all players must first say they are ready before commencing a match.
  • Both/all players must confirm they are in-line with the rules (not breaking a rule during a match).
  • If no Gamekeeper/Spectator is present, ask an opponent to perform the countdown.
  • Both/all players must be on opposite ends of the map, unless tournament-specific rules call for otherwise.
  • Potions cannot be used in any matches.
  • Wallbanger weapons (Magic Bow, Crystal Crossbow, Archimage Dragon Wand) cannot be used in any of the matches. The only exception is the Prototype PSR-1.
Punishments:
  • Playing on a map not specified by the tournament host or by public vote will result in a warning. The next attempt will result in an automatic elimination from the tournament.
  • Increasing the kill ceiling limit above the tournament standards may result in a warning. Should the opponents play until they reach the increased kill ceiling, the score will be cut down to fit with the other scores in the tournament.
  • Killing an opponent before they are ready will result in a redo. Further attempts may result in an automatic elimination.
  • Breaking a tournament rule during a match will result in a redo. Further attempts may result in an automatic elimination.
  • Poor sportsmanship/unsportsmanlike conduct will receive an automatic elimination from the tournament. Further action will result in permanently being kicked from all future tournaments hosted by The Pixel Gun 3D Tournament Club.
