Now, moving on. I'm here to tell you people, why we deserve this "Trash Updates" or the "Atrocious Crap" they throw at us. It's pretty simple why we get them. So why don't you people Think for a damn second, on why We deserve these updates. Still don't know? That's fine. I can recap some of the crap, some people have been throwing at them.

Normally, I'd brush most of these crap off, but there are more. I'm just too lazy to find more of these crap around the damn forums.
What you people see above, is what we expect them to act. Greedy, negligent, and etc. And you know what? It worked. This is what we expect of them to be. Right? Greedy parasites that suck our wallets dry and move on to the next. Correct?
Why don't you people try running a company of 41 people. Let's see if those people are willing to make a popular game for free. Most of you Can't! You can't expect those number of people to work for free. This ain't no damn charity. These people need money. They need better equipment. They need to pay their staff.
Kudos for RiliSoft they didn't do this on purpose, and haven't lost their cool yet.
You see, if they aren't angry at us yet, then it just proves how patient they are with us. They're enduring our insults, and are willing to hear us out, but of course, when one puts too much strain on the rope, then the rope becomes worn, and when it becomes worn, then it's going to snap. And when it snaps, it will lose what it's in it's grasp. To put that into perspective, they are willing to hear us out, but if people continue to insult them, then they will no doubt, lose interest in this community. And once they lose interest, we have no one to Whine on how crappy the next update is. And I would personally love that. No more beration, no more whining, no more insults cluttering up the forums. The forums was made to discuss, not go on a Developer's Profile and insult them blatantly.
I personally believe this is just their way of saying "Hey, you expect us to add more OP crap, and suck wallets dry, then fine! We're the ones benefitting on what you think of us anyways."

Anyways, I know most people aren't going to agree to this, and it's fine. I just wanted to let everyone know, what I think. :tongueout:

Good point, and well said. Also, I think this update is actually good. And RiliSoft already said they're trying to prevent cheaters.

All this is true. I'll admit I've ranted on about the game updates but this thread really opened my eyes. Gotta make money in one way or another. Making the game free and making it what it is. For all we know they could be making much or barely any money from the game. Over 500 hours spent on the game. Rilisoft, a group of 41 people. They're people. Not any difference from them to you. Is there? A job to make money. Simple.

One way they could get money is to make the app cost money. I remember the first time i got it. It was on feature points below minecraft and it said *worth $2.99*. So i saved up my points and redeemed it and played it

I'm fine with them making money, but still. I'm not going to give them money to screw up the game even more. All they keep doing is shoving IAPs in our faces and making the game un-balanced EVEN more. I'm not supporting rilisoft with my money until they balance the game (weapon + armor wise, nothing to do with gems, but I wish they would actually make a way of getting them)

Remember when RiliSoft was just a small company? They had fewer staff members and made the game a Paid App.
Clearly they must have had extra cash to make the game free. Since they have more staff at the moment, then it's pretty obvious they need more income. Maybe when they made enough revenue, then they can make gems obtainable.
I know this may sound like a pathetic reason they haven't implemented gems yet, but it's the best I can come up with.

I never really care about what comes with these updates, I just play the way I want to. Other than that, I agree.

But if they kept it as a paid app they would still get money off of it. To me it doesn't make a lot of sense to add more people to the team (rilisoft) and then make it a free app. I payed for this game ($2.99) and then when gems were added i payed for those ($15.00). So i almost spend around $20.00 and i dont feel like spending more. It's funny that the "free" apps on the appstore are most of the time going to cost you more than paying up front for the app itself...

I agree with some of the points that you have made here, certainly the part about people who complain or even insult the developers without understanding that they are a business and need to make money. That sort of behaviour is selfish and wrong. On the part about the developers becoming fed up from these insults and leaving as a result, this seems ridiculous to me since there job is to make money, so as long as they are profitable they will keep on making updates. I am not suggesting that this excuses the kind of behaviour mentioned above, it is simply unfortunate that they must face such criticism from certain sections of the community. Having had my own disagreements with rillsoft I feel that I also have to stand up for our right to voice criticism at certain times. Criticism can be a way for players to ponder about how a game can be improved, not all of these suggestions are financially sensible, so developers can not listen to and implement all of our suggestions, however some suggestions may give developers an idea which could significantly improve their profits. Therefore, I think that constructive criticism can lead to a win-win situation for players and developers.

We also must not ignore the cases where players may feel aggrieved by developers. Let's say that you own a particular game and save up $50 to buy a weapon in this game which is meant to have unlimited ammo and is currently the best weapon in the game. Now assume that in the following update, a mere few days later, the weapon which you have bought is now among the weakest in the game and the ammo costs so much that you would need more IAPs in order to use it as you had previously. In such a situation you could understand the players frustration. This isn't the worst thing that can happen following a game update and pixel gun has not come to this as yet, but the point is that developers are not faultless and at times must make themselves open to criticism in order to improve their game and become accountable to their customers. This begs the question of where we, as customers stand when we make purchases. Are we deserving of some kind of special treatment when we make purchases? The answer is no. We do not and can not own this game, despite this I feel that many people believe that they are owed some kind of service because they have spent money on this game. Unfortunately the game belongs to the developers and we pay for the privilege of playing it, as a result many people may feel that they have no other way to vent their displeasure other than to direct insults at the developers. This kind of reaction may be understandable but must be avoided because when we make in game purchases we receive no guarantee of service, we should simply receive the item we requested. The power we hold is in our ability to choose if and when we may wish to make a purchase, this ability should grant us the respect of the developers who seek our money. Therefore, I feel that there should be a mutual understanding between players and developers acknowledging that we are dependent on one another and as a result there should exist mutual respect between both parties.

Sorry for the essay and the inevitable grammatical errors.

I agree with the fact that RiliSoft needs more "Constructive Criticism", since it's vital to know everyone's perspective on how the latest update has affected their gameplay, but spouts of insults tend to be the latest "Feedback" as of now. A member had mentioned that all of us must be "Professional" with our feedback, but that doesn't seem to be case, is it?
Also, simply deeming the game's constant updates to be a step to it's downfall, is one of thing that irks me. Even though we can't be certain on what lies ahead for the game, one does not have the right to say that. With every update, they put effort into it. They worked so hard to appease us, and yet, they don't get the right feedback. Besides, they stated that it was their goal to constantly evolve the game. Meaning, they're looking for new ways to entertain us, whilst still having to earn enough to sustain them.
In all honesty, if people were to calm down about the update, and explain the flaws of each update civilly, then the developers would have a clear idea, on what's going on, in their game. Insults, only lead to more confusion among the developers.
Also, I agree that "Paying Customers" should not receive special treatment from the developers. The only "Special" thing they'll receive is the premium currency. Nothing more, nothing less.

I agree, I think that we should set up rules stating that certain types of criticism are unacceptable. I think that we have a great divide in this community regarding how we feel about the developers and what their obligations are to us. They don't have any obligation to us and that is one of the things that need to be clarified. If some of the senior members of this forum could set up rules outlining what type of conduct is and is not appropriate when discussing or conversing with the developers, then we can begin to resolve the conflicts which we currently have in the community regarding this issue.

Then Rilisoft should make it cost money.

I don't think they'll accept the idea though. They're earning more money with gems than it being a paid game.
Which is unfornunate because that idea prevents it from the app from exploding with hate. But I completely agree.

I just think they should have kept the game how it was, with a small amount of members working at Rilisoft, and kept the game simple, like in the 8.0.0 and below. Then, these issues would not even exist.

Well either way the Rilisoft team would still need to make money to get supplies and pay workers.

I agree with you.Pixelgun was a very good game but now...It's worst than this

You know what? This is my opinion. If you don't wanna pay for the game, then that's Fine. If you're frustrated that you can't buy any weapon without using real money, then I suggest deleting the app and finding a new game to play. It's not like the game's forcing you to play, right? Don't feel entitled that RiliSoft owes you anything. You're the one who's wasted your time playing the game, and also one of the many people who got the game for Free. If they decide to add the Pay-to-Win aspect, then let them. It's not like you're in charge of them or funding them in any way. If they deserve hate mail, then the rest of the community should deserve to be treated like crap as well.
