This is a story riddle, so there will be no fancy rhymes.
Riddle:
There was a call of a murder in a small town. The call came from an elderly woman who lived in the outskirts of town . The victim was a caretaker of an elderly woman. Although the woman could easily be ruled as a suspect, the woman claimed that she cannot walk thus she is confined in a wheelchair(Take note that she is upstairs). Strangely enough a few years ago, the woman's husband was killed in a stair accident. The investigator noted a small telephone downstairs and checked upstairs. The woman who was quite inviting for the investigator to check the rooms. While checking the rooms he stumbled upon where the old woman slept upon opening the door he noted that nothing was out of the ordinary; Just a bed a bedside table, a lamp, and a book. Before leaving the room he noticed something so minor so small that the other investigators overlooked it. He quickly left the house and called for backup.
Question: What was that minor detail.

The Missing Daughter

The Mother's baby daughter is missing. The detective (you) goes into the scene of the crime; the house. After interviewing the parents and reviewing the house, you know the following things...
  • The Father was at work, and the Son was at school
  • The Mother was home at the time
  • The Son acts like the sister's never there, while the Father only sees her when the Mother points her out
  • The Mother has schizophrenia
  • The Son goes to the same school as the daughter
  • The Mother tried to have another baby, but it was a miscarriage
With all the information above, try to figure out what happened to the daughter...
Tip: Analyze the info carefully, and think about each one. Everything on this list is crucial to solving the case...

A ruler. Knew it instantly. Here's my riddle:
I went into a store and found out that it cost 3 dollars for 400, which meant that each part cost 1 dollar. What did I want to buy?

Me, and my friend in real life (which is very smart) analyzed the riddle, and figured out the possible answers...
  1. I wanted to buy, "it"
  2. I wanted to buy, "400"
  3. I wanted to buy, "the store"
  4. (My friends answer) I wanted to buy, "them"
If I got it wrong/right, notify me immediately, or later...

Here I Go!
Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives the bellboy $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to split among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totaling $27. The bellboy has another $2, adding up to $29.
Where is the remaining dollar?
The manager has the last dollar
