Give Rilisoft a chance...

Rilisoft never intentionally made the game a P2P game. Like they said, they'll fix the gems, you just have to be patient. Do I have to repeat myself, as I said this more than once already. Of course Rilisoft isn't greedy, or will ever be. They'll never make unique gun skins and animations cost money (By the way, where did this idea of yours come from, because they already implemented this into the game, and it is completely free). They'll only use the money to improve the game, and ONLY the game, and they will never go out there and spend it on useless mall-junk. If you've ever saw the team themselves, they look mature enough to not do anything stupid with the money they earn. They have supported us for 4 year, and they aren't going to stop. So think that the next time you call Rilisoft "greedy". And of course Rilisoft will ban those pesky hackers, It just takes a little time (this will answer your little "Rilisoft never bans people, so why is the report button there?" question). Also, you have to remember to report the hacker, or other threat to the game for such behavior so Rilisoft can ban them. So you also have to do some of the dirty work to rid the game of hackers once and for all...
I agree with @Qwertyperson, @RiliSoft isn't a team of developers that are "super-human" beings: which means they have breaks.

Most of your comments are just opinion and not fact so don't present them like they are. Rilisoft are a company, there job is to make money, my role as a customer is to give feedback, so I'm just giving my feedback like everyone else is. "Rilisoft isn't greedy" - how do you know that? I can understand if that's your opinion though. I never said that Rilisoft never bans people, my issue is that even though you can't rid a game of all hackers you can at least limit the advantage they get from hacking coins and especially gems (I.e less OP accessories and armor). "They will never go out there and spend it on useless mall-junk" - to this comment I am speechless, what has that got to do with anything? So here's my final point, I would like to see this game improve by having Rilisoft actually listen to feedback, which is why many of us spend out time giving it, if Rilisoft wish to do the exact opposite, which is their right, then they can't complain about people becoming dissatisfied.

I never asked for this dumb technical-war, and I am here to end it now. If you have a problem with the current version, post a thread about it, I won't interfer. Or you can talk to Rilisoft personally on their Profile on this very forum, Facebook, Twitter, or even write a review about it on the App Store. But I am done, and nobody won this stupid battle (as if it was ever one). I made this thread to clarify Rilisoft's problems. This thread is full of truth and fact, not lies and opinions. This was basically saying that Rilisoft is working their butts off to satisfy your needs, and will resolve their problems eventually. Now that I've gotten that out of chest, I bid you farewell, and please don't reply to this post ever, unless you actually have evidence that Rilisoft is just a joke (that will happen when pigs start to fly)...

I want to give them a chance, but I can barely hold my anger in when they decide to add more powerful mechs and turrets when we didn't want or need the original version in the first place, and to top it all off, a new OP gun to encourage more noobs?! This just keeps getting better and better!

I know it's hard, but we'll figure out way to nerf these weapons and gears, but we need ideas...I'll make a thread now about this problem.

I think the only battle is the one in your head since I never used that word. It is called a discussion not an argument and certainly not a battle. If you're going to start frothing at the mouth every time I put my point of view across then simply don't respond. I don't mind you making you're points, I'm just explaining mine but let's leave it at that (I hope).

This is basically exactly how I feel, including the sarcasm.

Actually, I agree. We should dump this convert, and bury this hachet. I apologize for making such an hostile remark on your opinion. I'm just so defensive on Rilisoft, and feel really bad on how they're getting so criticised on such a good game. I didn't realized what you were saying were just opinions until it was too late, and it all went downhill from there. So lets bury the hachet on this one okay?

I was this close to locking the thread and firing off warning points to the lot of ya for a flame war. Glad to see you men know when to stop, even if the aforementioned battle went a bit further than needed.

Anyways, back on topic. Will I give them a chance? Well, after the next OP update comes around, I'l give them ONE last chance, and if they screw it up, I'm done.

I knew it would happen sooner or later, so I decided to do so. And rest assured, we will make the next HUGE update a success (why am I talking like I'm part of Rilisoft, because I'm not). I mean we will make suggestions on the next HUGE update, and what should be added...In fact, I'll make a thread about that subject...

To be frank, I've already given up but I still remain here 'cause the forums is a great place. ^.^
Yeah, I guess I'm at that point already :tongueout:

No denying it now, screw this. I'm done with PG3D. I've just now deleted my app from my iPad 2. Good riddance, RiliSoft! You've just lost a popular figure in the community!

Well looks like I didn't help at all. No worries, at least you still have some people who still like your game Rilisoft...

I think that the first thing that we all need to understand is that, above all, Rilisoft is a business. A business exists to make a profit. In the mobile application market, the easiest, most efficient and most profitable way to obtain money is through microtransactions for exclusive content, so it should not come to us as any surprise that Rilisoft has implemented 'overpowered' weaponry obtainable only through gems.

Number two, we must realize that Pixel Gun 3D is a very large app in comparison to other mobile apps, with lots of development behind it. It takes teams of people and lots of time and resources to create the necessary maps, weapons, skins etc., code the game's hundreds of attributes/entities/actions and set up and maintain servers that can handle the traffic. Not to mention that, since it is VERY computationally expensive for a portable device like a phone or tablet to process and render 3D surroundings in real time, Rilisoft has probably worked hundreds of man-hours to optimize game code for dynamic and fluid gameplay. There is no way that any reasonable person(s) will invest so much and expect nothing in return.

Number three, we have to consider that the folks back at Rilisoft are working quite hard to maintain an active and receptive role with its player community. They can be rather repetitive sometimes, like when they host the same kinds of contests over and over on the Facebook page, but trust me, keeping a player base busy is not easy, even when it's a full-time job. They've held competitions for new guns, new accessories, cape skins and body skins, and usually listen to player feedback when it comes to new updates. Heck, they even have an account on this forum! When you take the introduction of microtransactions out of the equation, Rilisoft actually does listen to what others have to say, and acknowledges that the opinions of its players are important. That is, after all, part of making money in a business - customer satisfaction.

Which brings us back to the introduction of gem-exclusive weaponry and accessories. Do they upset the game balance a little? Yes, but there is always a trade-off between customer satisfaction and profitability when it comes to adding microtransactions. I think that, rather than constantly put previous versions of the game on a pedestal, we should try to improve the game with feedback that offers solutions other than simply the removal of content. Yes, some mechanics are outright inane and should be removed, but I would say that almost none of the problems that Pixel Gun has at the moment are unfixable after some tweaks to the way some things work.

I'm just going to make a quick reply to some of the points you have made since you have made so many. You have raised a number of good points that offer a perspective of the situation from Rilisoft's point of view which are quite valid. Obviously we as players would like everything to be free and easily obtainable, however if this were to occur the company would either go into debt or not be able to invest as much into the game, which we certainly wouldn't like, so that trade-off issue is understandable. The main issue surrounds certain updates which are noticeably gamechanging and appear to have been added without any consultation. In particular the addition of mechs, turrets, jetpacks, the invisibility potion have ruined the gameplay system. Those additions were added in one update which also severely limited the number of coins able to be earned, whilst introducing a new currency which was even more difficult to earn than the coins. Another example I'll use is with the introduction of armor, which was actually suggested by a few on here, with mixed reactions. At first they added up to 6 shields of armor when fully upgraded, yet soon they were overhauled to provide up to 36 shields of armor, which made them an almost essential item for all. Despite the generally negative reaction to armor, in the following update ruby armor was added which added yet another 8-9 shields of armor (depending on the Cape used).
This example seems to be repeating itself as they have recently announced the winners of their 'gun contest' which included upgraded versions of the unpopular mechs, turrets and the addition of a spy drone.....no need to rub your eyes, you read that correctly. So whilst I can understand your points and appreciate them since Rilisoft's point of view is usually underrepresented here, I do not feel as though Rilisoft is listening to our suggestions in order to come to an arrangement that is slightly more agreeable. So whilst we as 'customers' need to be mindful of Rilisoft's concerns as a business (this trade-off as you have termed it), they need to be aware of our main concerns in order to maintain that relationship. I have a thread on this as well, so feel free to vote on it.

You guys rely on Rillisoft too much. Dont you guys have better things to do. I should have seen myself begging Rillisoft to change. What a scrub i was. Dont beg, ask once and leave. If they don't want to answer, they either don't want to, dont care, don't have the time, or is on break. U guys celebrate when Rillisoft replies. That's sad. I was an idiot begging Rillisoft to reply. Just ask once. This is an easy power trip on both sides now.

I'm going to try to not sound like a fanboy but what the heck. You act like we worship Rilisoft all day everyday. We just believe the game could be better than what it is right now. I thought this thread was going to clarify things, but it just made things worse. I'm just going to do the right thing, and ask the mods to lock this thread if there is anymore replies like this. Or better yet, delete this thread, because that was offensive on so many levels...

UPDATE: I've added a poll. Decide what should happen to this thread...

We don't worship Rillisoft we over ask. We ask so much at the same time that when Rillisoft finally gets back to us we celebrate. (Yet apparently Rillisoft is on a lot more than we think)

Since no one answered to my poll, might as well do what is right for this thread.
@TheRudeWolf, please be a gentleman and lock this. This is no longer needed, as this is a dead thread.
And thanks for your thoughts and opinions...
