Gun drops level when I bought a new one

So I’ve been doing the sniper tournament, and i had the “one shot” sniper, when I was at level 14 of the gun, I was getting 2 shot kills, then when I upgraded it, it was like 3 it 4 shots to kill, then I upgraded to 16 finally and it was 2 shots, which I’m fine with. When it was level 16 my power was 27+2 it said, so I had enough coins to get a “stronger” gun. Called lost hope, and it def wasn’t stronger, and now when I go back to use my “one shot” the level dropped back down to 14. But says the power is 29 yet it takes 4 fucking shots to kill someone. Can anybody possibly tell me why the hell this happened

Sniper Tournaments is a game mode with auto-balancing. The higher level gun you have in Sniper Tournaments, the more 'balanced" your gun will be (I say "balanced" because PG3D's auto-balancing is garbage). Your gun should have the stats is show in any other game mode besides Fort Seige and Sniper Tournament.
