I can't update the game

So on the App Store it says PENDING UPDATES then Pixel Gun 3D below, it's the update that was released oct 23 2014. It's the update where they say the champion every week and there's new Halloween stuff. But whenever I click update, it just opens the game but nothing's new. And when the game opens it still has the Update button on the App Store and whenever I click it, it will just keep opening the app. I play on the iPad btw, help please, I really want to change the control settings and have new weapons :pensive:
 
Well first of all, you should check, maybe you actually do have the update and don't know it. If it doesn't work, trying restarting your iPad like Feesh said, then if THAT doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the App. Since you're on iOS, all you should lose area any custom skins you've made if any, progress should be fine, and the App Store should download the current version for you.
