I suck at school.....

Go off on them
Title says it all. I suck at it.

Math: I can't even do it without somebody helping me even with the easiest questions on the paper. Give me the teachers book with all the answers and I still get it wrong or be so confused.

Science: I honestly could care less about elements. It confuses me so much.

Language Arts/English: I think everyone here knows my Englsih/grammar sucks.

History: Same crap different time.

I was fine when I was in 6th and below. I got everything right. But now I have trouble with the simplest problem. I feel like I'm going to grow up and feel like a stupid person cause I've struggled with school. Now I'm in high school (freshman) and I can't do crap while other kids I know are doing better. The only reason why I pass on to the next grade each year,is because of those yearly test (The test show where you line up with other kids your age. And if you don't do well, you can get held back.). Either way, those tests are WAY to easy (except math. They're like 6th-5th grader questions(so I know all of them). So if you average or do better on the majority of subject, you pass. So all this time I've been Average Language, science, and history. But math...below average. That's the only reason why I keep going up to the next grade. I'm homeschooled btw.

Sorry if I just wasted your time, but honestly this is bothering me so much I have to tell someone. My mom and Dad are SUPER busy,my brother is going off to college and has a job,and my grandparents can't help me with math (and possibly science) because they never learned what I am learning. P.s. I made a poll so if it's all wrong...sorry.

Don't worry buddy, you're not alone. School can be a struggle. At my school, we have these really stupid math textbooks that make you explain every single stupid thing. I can't tell you how much I just want to grab them all and burn them so we can use the old ones again, which were WAY better, even if I did get suspended. But alas, I don't want that to happen.

Your best bet is to tell your teachers how much you struggle, and find a time where you can come in early or stay after a bit late so they can help you and get you back on track. Even a friend may be able to help you.

I myself never faced such drastic challenges in 7th grade, however I did face much harder difficulties in 9th grade and above.

Nonetheless, I think I speak for the majority of the community here when I say math isn't our favourite subject, nor are all of us good at it. I myself barely passed 9th grade Math with a 50, so I can empathize with you on that level sort of. I too was also never one for science really (though if you are wanting to become a scientist, best to buckle down and get reading). Language I was pretty well a flying ace with (up until 9th grade, that is, learning about how to analyze books and find deeper meanings in them).

In any case, can't say I ever was homeschooled, but I do know the hardships of high school (which are many). Word of advice from The Moderately Wise One: Don't procrastinate. I was pretty high up there (if not, king) in regards to my habits of procrastinating on schoolwork. I myself don't know if you procrastinate, but if you do, you'd be wise to buckle down and attempt working. (I myself sat at a table once for 6 hours before I got 1 math question right.)

Just keep in mind though, learning can be a challenge no doubt, but if you work hard enough at it, eventually you can succeed. (Great, now I sound like a cliche "Hang in there!" cat poster...)

Long story short, we've all had our downfalls with school. Just remember to keep your head up, and if you have trouble with schoolwork, not to give up too easily. (Also, not sure if you're aware of this, but there's tons of resources online to help ya if you are having trouble with your subjects. Can't tell ya how many times Internet usage has saved me from failing in school.)

The last three subjects I'm pretty good with. But I can understand you on the math problem, I have a terrible time with as well. I have so much trouble I sometimes find my self doubting I'll ever get the career I want because of it. Just keep pushing on though, If you promise to push on I'll push on with my problem with math too. ^^
Also if you need any help or some tips on the other subjects, just PM me and I'll try my best with helping ;]
