Playing at 3am?

So ive seen these videos on youtube about people playing games like gta5 and minecraft at 3am saying its the devils hour and u shouldnt play cause wierd things happen..Then i came across a bunch of pixel gun videos of the same topic and was wondering if anyone knows whats up with that?

I think its just some reference for spongebob about that midnight man with a spatula as his hand that comes to the krusty krab at 3-4AM
But lets face it, who the hell plays PG3D at 3AM?
