The side effects are that you don't die from old age so you can never love a human and can only marry someone who is ageless. Also, if you live on the moon, you get banished.

Plus it only prevents you from dying. So idiots are still idiots; you aren't any stronger; and you can be exposed to endless torture through say hanging, choking, cages, etc. Also, this only exists in the possible alternate dimension of Gensokyo. Although there is a plus that after enough time you gain the ability to use danmaku.

Do you know what else causes endless torture? Its the quote that haunted gamers of all types and consoles. Its the infamous "video games cause violence."

Danmaku

It's the ability to attack many different things in many different directions at once. Mostly involves shooting bullets, throwing knifes, etc. in all directions.
