A couple times I loaded PG3D on a different device and played a few rounds right from Level 1. It's almost better than combat life as it is now, with all the powerful weapons running around. When everybody has a simple shotgun and pistol it's all balanced and the skillful ones are the ones that win. I remember dominating round after round with nothing but a Pixel Gun. It's certainly fun, much funner than running around with the Dragon Breath pwning everybody (nowadays I set myself to a personal rule of only pulling out the Freeze Ray or Dragon Breath when there's a magic weapon user or somebody else with a laser weapon). I wonder how it would have been like back when it was all just guns, no gimmicks, no tesla guns, no PSRs, just plain guns (no crosshair spread either, from what I gather).
