Website feedback

There was no threads, so I thought I would make one. Here's a place for site feedback to go. My first feedback would be a counter, to show how many members we have, and how many other people have seen this website.

I believe we have that at the moment. It is near the bottom of the homepage.

Actually, I don't think that's entirely possible. However, we do have a statistics bar that shows who's on, how many members we have, and how many messages there are on this forum.

I do not believe I explained myself clearly enough. Besides all that good stuff, I also thought there could be a counter for like maybe, such many days until update for iOS or android or such, good things like that

We aren't that knowledgeable with the Pixel Gun dates of release . However, we can report updates when they're release and their features. It would be like a small news bar on the Homepage.

Ah, that kind of counter.

While it would be cool and stuff, we never know in advance when the next update will be released. Perhaps VashX could put up a counter in advance, telling us when he'll do changes to the site again. :tongueout:

As far as other suggestions for this go, I guess we could try to broaden our specific discussions. This app is also on Amazon's App Store, as well as the Windows Store. Although I have yet to encounter a player from either device, there's no harm in being prepared.

As for Chaotix, I was actually about to suggest that. I would love it if this forum had a homepage to show that stuff, or even just a side column. Perhaps a separate board that would be just for announcing news in PG3D, and the feed would be linked to the column, giving instant reports on new updates and the like.

That is a very good idea. Something like that would help a lot of people know what's going on in the scary world of PG3D.

Perhaps, a section of the website could be used as a way of teaching the basics to newer members. A tutorial of sorts. Examples could be showing how to edit your profile and what all the icons shown when you write a post mean.

Once we hit enough players, we should be able to earn forum coins, and we can use those coins to advertise a clan on the forums or something like that.
The way to get forum coins is simple. Every time you sign in (once a day) you get some forum coins, and when you post something on the forum (while logged in), you get some, or staff can give you some for obeying the rules or helping a new member.
Hopefully we will get more players for this to happen!

While an economic system sounds good, I see many flaws involved:
  • Some members (like myself) log on here to just check up on the site. This would create a divide between long-time members and new members, and a large one at that.
  • The opportunity to advertise clans brings in the possibility of spamming messages in other clan's topics, as well as clans using spambots to achieve this. In other words, a nightmare for forum staff.

Haven't realized that, sorry.

I hardly see people like posts, it give the 'post-er' some more points and can be useful.

Until this forum reaches over 2,000 members, will Vash consider hiring a 3rd Mod. Until then, we just go by hand-picked selection. That's how Hercule and I picked Chaotix to replace him. And, you do need to have strong morals, mature nature, and a several other character traits before we could even consider you as an option for a potential Moderator replacement.
