Pixel Gun Legend REBORN
First of all, when I say the term," Gamer" I mean it as one who has devoted their life to a virtual fantasy involving minimum realism known as video games. I am not saying that video games are evil or anything I mean they are fun and its a game literally. But those that have taken it too seriously is quite unusual. Kids these days have become overwhelmed with their minecraft games or their precious Xbox that they literally miss out on reality. Some actually made their reality Minecraft. Some make their phones the only way to socialize. What Happened To Reality!?

Here is the truth. this generation of Quickscoping Button Pushing TV Screen Addicts have become sensitive. No One can take a joke, do a push up, or date someone the right way anymore. We have lost our inner security and have become shy, fragile, and quite frankly, weak.
Most of you are going to explode on this but don't. Why? that's because I just gave the truth about a Gaming Addict.
This Generation is a bunch of Gamers.
No more fun in Video Games. Its all played like its Reality, kids rage too much. Minecraft mods ban due to their sensitive soul. blah blah blah blah

thing is, its gotten worse.

The Physical Body
The average size of a high school student has dropped. most kids are becoming under developed due to the lack of physical exercise and poor diet. This country is literally starving the schools students. Low Calorie Means low body weight. Gamers tend to be the most affected generation. lack of movement means lack of body weight.

Socializing
Insecurity and sensitivity is enormous. Its almost impossible to see someone without those problems. People shy away from reality too much making them sensitive. Sensitive as in unable to withstand anything. People cant even talk on the phone they refuse because they cant keep a convo going anymore.

Mental State.
imagination, problem solving, patience, understanding, and heart is gone. Our cell phones become our brain now. tech is winning

Now what
we gotta fix dis. any ideas thoughts or replies would be greatly appreciated. Thank U!

Well, ever since I knew what too-much-gaming can do to my body, I devoted myself to not play as much video games as I did before.

The solution? Well, you have to tell them what the effects of too-much-gaming is, so they'll limit themselves from the games. Over-exaggerating will get them off the couch faster. For example: Say that playing video games for too long can strain yohr eyes. Well, say that playing video games for too long will make you blind. It never fails. Heck, that made me play less of those.

EDIT: Fixed a grammatical error...

GENIUS
but im not saying stop gaming im saying talk to someone run around make jokes and socialize!

Back in 2006-2011 Kids my age actually talked to others. And phones they did have where not iPhones and games. They were just phones. Now,kids my age only talk about social media, use stupid words (bae),do stupid trends, and never pay attention. And for me,I'm not into trends and all that stuff. So I have a really hard time trying to relate to the things they think are "cool". I remember kids around my neighborhood would ACTUALLY go outside and play. When I was younger,my life was dedicated to being outside all the time.

And people these days can't take a joke. Like seriously....Everything is taken so serious. And people these days always complain or argue with other about the slightest things.

Tell them about martial arts. I do Tae Kwon Do and I love it because it's fun and gives yourself a sense of accomplishment. Alot of people(not just the kids) play games because getting an achievement gives them a sense of accomplishment. Which is ok at times but not when you become so absorbed in it. Martial arts can help that and gets you back into reality. And besides, who doesn't want to be a ninja? x3
Another thing, go out in the woods. Visit a local park that has hiking trails that go in the woods. Turn off your phone, your text will still be there when you get back from your hike. Take it slow and hear the different sound in the forest. Go to a museum that interests you. I can tell you all these things are fun and intresting when away from your technology. Though it's hard these days due to the fact that most people who have jobs have to use their phone/tablet for work, even school kids these days need them for school(not saying that's bad but not when the kid is on it most of the day)! But even if you take 20-30 min break from technology and do some physical activity it'll keep you in check with reality and healthy as well.

The grouchness is contagious too...

people complain over the smallest thing such as bad reception. there are starving kids in this world. they could care less about reception
People these days are greedy it's not even funny. People complaining that they can't or didnt get the new: iPhones,Xbox's,computers, clothing, houses, and many others. I'm like,"Go to the city, neighborhood,or even a county and look for people who can BARELY make ends meet. Where people don't know where there next meal is coming from. There are kids around the city I live in who don't even have jackets for the winter time. So now we have a little thing going on where you can donate old jackets to people in need."

And also for those people who complain on social media about not getting the new iPhone 6s,WHO CARES?!? It's just a phone! You people would spend $1000 of dollars on cell phone bills for a phone that would be considered in a year,"Old and so last year".

So please people,be THANKFUL for what you have. Be thankful you have clothes, food, water, and a place to live. It doesn't have to be a freaking big house, the newest and nicest clothes that fill up your closet,or eat like a barbarian.

I should have added that in the original statement cause u comrade r right on target with this. and heck people that do have all the good stuff r addicted to it. they cant live without their phones. they live in a virtual reality, and can be very selfish. people that I played pixel gun with a while back would rage furiously over a silly fun game. when did video games become important to that extant?

Must say, it's been an eternity since I've seen such a discussion in motion, and on a forum no less.

There's some interesting points though. I myself play PC games daily, though that's because at this point I'm still unemployed, and don't exactly got much to do. :tongueout: I currently have an iPod Touch 4th-gen (that crashes on Safari almost once or twice daily), and a very old Samsung Galaxy Ace Q (it's got a flip out keyboard, not just a touchscreen one). I only ever use my phone to text one of my 10 contacts (rarely), or to call someone (even rarer), never for gaming. In all honesty, I could care less for the mobile gaming addiction though, I prefer to play games where I can see everything in HD, rather than play on a tablet where some graphics are more pixelated than anything. Plus, IAP games like Candy Crush Saga just aren't games anymore, they are 99% moneygrab, and 1% entertainment. This is why I prefer playing games over a PC far more than through my iPad 2: There's more variety with games, there's actual beta testing for these games sometimes, and you can actually OWN the game, and not feel like you're getting a free invitation to a charity where you have to donate every 30 mins.

Pardon my rant for mobile gaming, but onto social media. The crazy thing is, I was never invested into social media, heck, I (and several friends I play with currently), don't even use Facebook or Twitter, and if we do, it's very rarely. Even when I entered high school, my group of friends from middle school left, and I had a real hard time making friends because nobody there shared an interest into the games I played, and more importantly, nobody was a fan of Star Wars like I was (I even showed it off it in the last 2 years of high school, wearing a Darth Vader helmet on Halloween, and a clone trooper helmet for May The 4th). This lack of common interest made it real hard to make friends for me in high school, and in the end, I only ever had 2 friends that shared my interest in racing video games (a genre I play off and on), and they were a grade below me. The people in my grade? Facebook and social drama 24/7, stuff I did NOT want to do with at all. Stuff that just simply held no interest for me, partly because I always laughed at social media through ICanHasCheezburger (they have a FAILbook section, some funny stuff there).

I'm not entirely sure where I'm weighing this conversation with myself though. I'm 5'10, so by no means am I short for a legal adult (pretty close to average of 6' though). I had a real tough time socializing in high school as it was, which was what probably made me look to video games in the first place (which I'm actually grateful for, since there are a lot worse places for a high school student to look towards when they're alone). My mental state is decent (by no means was I ever a genius with mathematics, however I've always had a creative mind, which I've found improves in games where creativity can roam free, and I'm pretty tech-savvy, which is where this world's job industry will look towards over the next 10 years). I'm a pretty strong deterrent on social media (since I laugh at it from time to time), and I could care less for the mobile crap that is "mobile gaming" these days. Do I get offended by everything? Now there's something funny. I only feel offended if I'm having coarse language thrown my way, or if I'm bullied, or if I'm criticized for being a Christian. Heck, shows from the 50's to the early 80's, used to use statements that would make today's society want to rip these shows apart if they were being aired as current TV shows. In fact, a lot of the Western shows like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Rifleman, and Daniel Boone, would probably have been extensively re-edited for today's viewership's sake if that were the case. It does irk me though that our society is so easily offended by simple statements. Part of me does wish I could travel back to the 90's, where people were still mildly sane and could roll with some of the punches at least.

Not that I ever meant to make a massive statement on this directed at me (throwing several dollars into the fountain here over the usual two cents), but I sympathize with what you guys are saying. Social media is a joke, people are becoming way too overprotective for their own good, everyone's trying to insulate their bubbles to lessen the blow of offensive statements, and it's working too well to the point where any statement could be considered ammunition at someone. Games however, I'll be honest that if I'm in an addiction right now, then it's not as bad as you make it out to be. If I'm not, then I truly pity the soul that is in one (check my Steam if you want to have an opinion on that). As far as being glued to the phone for gaming and such, those people need to lift their heads up and see the world around them.
I do have an interesting thought though...

unable to fit in to high school society...
why is that?
plz do note Its the people that do something about their problems that live life. hiding from reality will do u no good.
also,
social media is a useful tool, but its also addictive. people spend too much time looking at a tweet instead of socializing with the real world. there needs to be balance.
and I too would like to live in a society that has a backbone. in school I tend to not care about the haters and just laugh at them. if someone complains its too hot or something I laugh at them. they r weak. then they go hide behind their phone. its really pathetic.

I don't know about you, but I'm not interested about who slept with who. Or who puked all across a backyard at a party. It is difficult to make friends when no one shares an interest with you.

I wish I could give you a agree ment rating that's worth a thousand. Either way,I can make friends....but's it's difficult to retain friends when most of the time I'm the third wheel when it comes to groups. I do better in 1 on 1 type of friendships. Not this 5 peopel clique thing going on. But most of the time I like being alone. And my mom thinks I need more friends....And I tell her I don't fit in with kids my age. Or even girls older than me. Most girls I know are, cliquey, whiny, annoying, gossipers, backstabbers, selfie freaks, vine freaks, and do a bunch of ditsy stuff. There are women my MOMS AGE who act so....Ditsy and lalala I have nothing in my brain going on type of people. And you think girl drama is bad? Guy drama is just as bad. And guys my age are just immature. When I try having a convo with them,it turns into some sexual provocative convo or just dirty jokes all the time. They're very few people who seem to have there head on straight.

What I say is that I rather have few friends that stick close by me and don't treat me like trash than to have multiple 'friends'. I'm happy with the few friends I have because they make things worth while in life when you know that they'll be there for you, in times of happiness and sorrow.

But aren't we all on a media website right now, talking to each other, which is social?
Efm8EiU.gif

But in all seriousness, I agree with Zaliox's statement. Using social media for gossip has become an epidemic, it should be used to have chat, not to film your best friend dropping out on some drugs and then waking up to realise he is the Dragonborn. That is why it is called "SOCIAL media", to be SOCIAL on MEDIA, there is nothing social about filming your first high, or something similar.
