Before I update to 8.0.0....

Hello mates.

As you may know, I still haven't updated to 8.0.0 in PG3D due to stalking up on coins. I was originally planning on aiming for 10K coins (I've currently made it up to 7K coins), but since it's taking so long, I might as well be updating soon anyway. However, people have said that there's this glitch when you update about this black screen of death, where your screen just remains black when starting up version 8.0.0 on PG3D. I'm actually quite afraid of updating because of this glitch. So my question is this. What should I do to prevent this happening before I update? Also, do you think that having 7K coins is enough for version 8.0.0?

ehm well i dont have that glitch so i think it depends on what model I device you have, mine is Ipad4 as you already know
 
The black screen of death will test your luck if you don't want to you can wait for the next update

I'm not sure about the BLSoD, but I'm sure 7K coins is actually enough for all the stuff. But you can rack up to 10k if you want for backup.
 
7K would probably have been the minimum I'd have suggested if you didn't want to keep going. But if you do get a black screen and you reinstall, you will only lose your skins. As far as other people have said it affects a specific generation of iPads.
 
Dude. You have waaayyy too much. There was a thread not too long ago that said you needed 4k of you have everything from 7.1.0, but I feel like I got the essential with 2.8k coins. As for the black screen, I wouldn't worry about it. I installed 8.0.0 about ten times (going back and forth between versions) and only got the black screen once and lost nothing. If you have custom skins, you might lose them though, that's the only thing you need to watch out for.
