Clan Size Limit?

Hey so I recently made a clan and have been adding the best players I can find who don't already have one. My clan recently reached 20 members and now it is telling me that I cannot add more. I was wondering if there is actually a limit to the amount of players in a clan? If so, why are there clans on the leader-board with thousands of members? Does anyone know how I could add more members?

I would like my clan to have the chance to compete on the top 100; it feels like I've hit a roadblock here.

The max number was supposed to be 20, but they have somehow managed to add more members. It may have something to do with player levels or maybe many members of the clan keep adding other players.
