Why are the The stingers homing rockets acting crazy?

What i mean by craziness is that the homing-ness (aiming) is awful.

No joke. Today i was in team battle and my enemy was RIGHT NEXT TO ME (keep that part in mind) i shoot,and the rocket went off left somewhere hitting a wall and knocking one of my teammates into no mans land (falling of the map) Then i tried using at long range. That didn't go well either. I was aiming a rocket into the distance and each time it hit that stupid tree. And i was aiming straight! It was like,"Yay i'm going straight. OH look tree! Lets make a extreme sharp turn right and hit the tree instead!". I even aimed left but that stupid rocket still hit that tree on the right. I've gotten some kill with it.

This thing has a meltdown when there's one player,but with two players you should just give up. The rockets act like a King's Dominion or Six Flag's roller coaster. It's going up and down and all around doing corkscrews and loops and it still misses your enemy or just pushes them around and not doing damage. I would recommend Armageddon or some other rocket launcher. I'm highly disappointed with this gun. Good thing i had left over gems and bought the exterminator instead. And the thing is i'm trying my best to aim with it. I think the rockets have a mind of it's own. :confused:

The rockets should be crosshairs guided rather then fly everywhere
 
The Stinger is powerful, it just goes somewhere else than the enemy. I think they're getting a Cup of Joe or something...

Yes it certainly has its issues, although I didn't realise that it was that bad. I must admit though that while I was testing it I was starting to wonder if my aim was off because the rockets tended to fall short of the target.
 
I think it acts like any other homing rocket-launchers. I don't think we've tried to focus on the target for about 5 seconds right? Instead we just fire away, and waste our ammo in hopes of getting a kill. Herexs my theory: let's all try to lock onto a target first, and then shoot the missiles...If this doesn't work, then I don't know what's wrong with the weapon to be honest.

Before we stated its crosshair guided, it would be to laggy if it were to control itself on its own.
 
If it's laser guided with your crosshairs i think it would be useless. Because other players move out of your crosshairs before the rocket has a chance to hit them and there goes the rocket being a roller coaster again. At short range it can be hard because again,people are moving. Long range it can be easier, But with it's travel time and it''s aiming,but people can easily dodge it because of the travel time. And you can shoot of multiple,but they can still dodge them.

Not pointless i have done many weapon combinations, this stinger is pointless without accuracy, which is one reason why I need it.
 
So i was at Sky Islands and i joined the blue team. I shot a rocket (the stinger) STRAIGHT towards the red teams base,and it still goes way left/right and hits a tree. And my crosshairs are aiming straight. Idk maybe thegun hates me.
