The Silver Warrior (novel)

Ruby Rose

The Silver Eyed Warrior
Hi guys :grin:
So i am currently writing a novel in right now and I would like some feedback of my story so far! I have three chapters done but I'm only going to only post the first chapter for now. My novel does not have a name yet (but I do have some ideas though) and I hope you enjoy it! Comments and friendly criticism is encouraged.^_^
EDIT: Please note that the chapters may a few changes to them over time. Also if I'm taking a long time to post another Chapter It probably means I am currently writing a new chapter. Your patients will be appreciated and feel free to ask any questions about my book.
Bonus fact(Just for fun): Some of the names(people,places, ect.)I have are in different languages and mean certain things. I have looked up these names on Google Translate. If you find out the meanings of some of these names go ahead and say it. I'll tell you wether your right or wrong.

Chapter 1

The sound of wood hitting wood rang through the farmyard. I looked at my opponent,a tall 17 year old boy with sandy colored hair. I charged at him with my sparring stick, thrusting it forward with all my might. When I was just inches away from his chest, he swiftly stepped out of the way and struck at my right leg. Before I could recover he swept his foot under mine,sending me to the ground. “Ugh.” I knew the match was over. The boy chuckled, “You'll get it right some day Kairi.” I sat up and replied, “I know Wolfgang, but you're just so quick!” Wolfgang bent over and offered a hand. I grabbed it and he helped me up off of the ground. “You're a great fighter. But you just need to be mindful where and how you're striking.” He informed me. “Kairi! Wolfgang! What have you two been doing? It's almost time for the Academy Ceremony!” I turn to see the owner of the voice. Riley, my cousin and best friend, runs up to us. “Calm down Riley, we were just practicing some fighting moves.” I told her. Wolfgang nodded then looked at his watch, “No need to hurry, it's only 8:30 a.m. The Ceremony is in a hour an' a half.” Riley shook her head, “We should still start walking there. I don't want us to be late! ” I rolled my eyes, “Riley, the Warrior's Academy is just over West Cururibita Hill.” She let out a sigh. Wolfgang laughed, “Ok,ok. We'll start walking. Besides, it will be a great time to look around town before leaving for the Warrior's Academy.” Riley seemed satisfied with this. So we began to walk towards West Cururibita Hill. I lived in this town, Cururibita Hollow, with my aunt and uncle. My parents were both warriors. But my father was killed in a battle when I was very young. And my mother went on a dangerous mission and never came back. I've always wondered what happened to her....
My thoughts drifted away as we approached the local grocery store, which is owned and ran by old Mr Jackson. I could see Mr Jackson dusting cobwebs that hung from the wooden beams in front of the store. “Hello Mr Jackson.” I greeted. Mr Jackson looked at us and adjusted his glasses. “Hello there young'uns! Heading off for the the Ceremony I suppose?” Wolfgang nodded, “Yes sir.” Mr Jackson then gave a stern look and shook a finger at us, “You better listen to your teachers. They're serious up there so no pranks now, you hear?” I couldn't help but laugh,Mr Jackson know very well that we were a bunch of joking pranksters. I remember the time we glued a penny to his front desk so people would try to grab it. “Don't worry Mr Jackson, we'll be good.” I said mischievously. Mr Jackson chuckled then resumed his cobweb dusting. We past the store and turned up to the dusty path of West Cururbita Hill. I Iooked behind me as we climbed the large hill for one last look of the town. People, young and old, were walking about the main street doing business or talking with friends. Some children were playing tag, chasing each other and hiding behind barrels in the alleys. I could also see the farm and farm house where me and Riley lived with my aunt n' uncle,which wasn't to far from where Wolfgang lived in a small mansion. I sighed. Even though this town was small I still loved it. Everyone who lived there treated everyone like family. “I can see the Academy!” Riley suddenly exclaimed. I looked forward to see the towering building of the Warrior's Academy. A tower of the academy stood out over the trees of the forest. The stone bricks had a color of light navy blue and also had designs carved into the stones. “Wow...” I muttered. I never seen such a building so huge or beautifully designed! When we finally made our way down the path to the academy you could see students gathering at a small stage in front of the Academy. “See, I tolded you we weren't going to be late. We're right on time.” Wolfgang told Riley as we found a spot to stand at. She sniffed then turned to the stage. A middle aged man wearing glasses a navy blue vest, I assume the Academy's color, then came onto stage. I assume he is Professor Caomhnoir, Headmaster and owner of the Academy. “Welcome everyone! I am pleased to see so many brave, young people willing to learn the ways of a warrior.” I was so excited as I listen. But then something odd caught my eye. I turned my head right to see a muscular, shady looking man dressed in dark red, which reminded me of some sort of warlord. He looked to old to be a student and defiantly wasn't a teacher,because he wasn't wearing the teacher's uniform(which is also navy blue). The man stared at the stage with a certain gleam in his eyes. I nudged Wolfgang, “Ow! Hey, what's the matter with you?” He gave me a stern look. I pointed to where I seen the man. “That guy looks shady, is he a student? He's the one wearing dark red.” I asked. Wolfgang snorted, “You got cotton in your head, silly. I don't see anybody wearing dark red.” I turn to look for the man again but he was gone! “But...” Wolfgang put a hand on my shoulder, “Ok, you may of just seen a spectator, a lot of people like to tend to these Ceremonys.” “Ok, I guess you're right.” I mumbled. The man was probably just a spectator. Or was he?

Some noticeable grammatical errors, but not bothersome at all. Definitely worth a read should the rest of the parts come out, as I would love to see character developments, as well as who this "spectator" actually is.

Was it wrong that I imagined the characters and settings to be in the style of RWBY? :tongueout:
No, you're right. You can defiantly tell I'm inspired by RWBY in my writing. :tongueout:

Thank you Helios :grin:

But, but, why?!? :pensive::pensive:

Because I'm the writer and want people to feel the cliffhanger!!!!!>:3
And also even though those chapters are done I want to space them out when I post them so it gives me enough time to write a new chapter, so you guys don't have to wait so long for me to get a new chapter done. It takes a while for me to get chapters done and here's why:
All the chapters are separated into 3 'Acts'. Chapters 1-3 is the first part, 4-9 is the second, and 10-12 is third. I write down notes on what I want in each chapter then I write the chapter,read it over, redo the chapter,and then type it on the computer. I make sure my will chapters are the best they can be and with people's feedback this will help me out a lot.

Chapter 2

“Kari,wake up!” I felt something hit me in the face. I sat up in bed and looked at what hit me. A pillow, Riley's pillow. I yawned drowsily,throwing the soft pillow aside. I laid back down, I was still tired from yesterday's training... “Kairi! If you don't get up we'll be late for training!”Riley yelled. Sitting up again, I looked at the clock that was sitting on top of a small desk. “Riley, it's 4:00 in the morning!” I look at Riley, who was already dressed for the day. “Training doesn't start till two more hours!” “Well,it's a good habit to wake up early in the morning anyways. And you still have yet to figure that out.” She said sternly. “Whatever.” I grumbled. Riley rolled her eyes then turned to the dorm-room door. “See you at breakfast, sleepy head.” “Cya later, walking alarm clock.” I muttered under my breath. It was great that me and my cousin get to be roommates, but sometimes she can be quite annoying too. Like waking you up early in the morning everyday, it seems Riley wakes me up earlier and earlier each morning. I got up out of bed and walked to the window. Wiping off some the of fog, I look out of it. Beyond some trees I could see the biggest hills of Cucuribita Hollow, West and East Cururbita Hills. In between those hills laid my hometown. The Cururibita Hills acted like a protective wall hiding the town. I sighed, I missed my Uncle Bill and Aunt Jessie. But at least they are safe and not too far away. The window started to fog up again from my breathe, so I step back from the window. Going back to bed seemed impossible now. So I quickly got dressed and headed for the cafeteria, Which is just a few feet across the student dorm house. Outside it was still slightly dark but you could see the sun peeking out a bit over the hills and trees in the East. I felt a chilly breeze as a small wind blew by. I walked to the cafeteria on the stone pathway. When I was inside I could see a lot of other students up and sitting down at tables. They were either studying in books and notes or talking to their friends. I notice at a table full of senior students a brown cat sat by one of the seniors on the ground. It sat there patiently until the senior it was sitting by turned to it and did some hand motion, the cat then jumped on his shoulder. Weird. I thought. “Hey Kairi!” I turn left to find the speaker. Then I see Wolfgang, waving for me to come, and his roommate James at a table. I make my way over to them and sit down next to Wolfgang. “Hey guys.” I said, stifling back a yawn, I was still only half-awake. “Let me guess, Riley woke you up early again? Wolfgang asked. I nod, “Yep. Did she go down to your guys' door and pound on it again?” James, a boy the same age as Wolfgang with black hair and brown eyes, started grumbling something I couldn't hear under his breath. “Yeah, she did. James is going to have to get use to Riley and her 'getting everyone up early' habit.” Wolfgang sighed as he rolled an apple that he had to James, who was on the other side of the table. James grunts irritatedly then picks up the apple and takes a bit out of it. I shook my head, “It is nice and all for her to make sure we're not late. But why so early?” “I already told you why, it's a good habit to get into.” Riley said, who had just arrived at the table with a tray of food. She set it down on the table then sat down across from me. Wolfgang rolled his eyes, “Anyways, anybody know what we're doing today?” James, after swallowing a bit of apple, replied, “Probably the usual. Basic battle training, history lessons, maybe send somebody on a scouting mission, and then more basic battle training.” “I guess they will give us more things to learn about later. It is only our first week here.” I pointed out. Riley nodded, “I think you're right. I overheard some senior students complaining about all the homework and they're given. Which brings me to a question, have you guys notice that some senior students have cats following them everywhere.?” I suddenly remembered the brown cat I had seen earlier. “I have seen a senior with a cat. But I just assumed he liked cats and owns one as a pet.” “We'll maybe, maybe not. Let's not worry about it right now.” Wolfgang said as he looked at his wristwatch. “Kairi you should probably go eat breakfast. Battle training starts in twenty minutes.” Breakfast! I was too busy talking and forgot to eat! I got up quickly and made my way to the cafeteria food line, which looked like it was ready to close. I quickly grabbed a banana and a granola bar. I ate them as I meet up with Riley, Wolfgang, and James and we headed for the battle arena. When we got there we took the supplies, which consist of light armor and a dull-bladed sword, that was being passed out to the students. “Ok, everyone listen up! Today get into a group and practice sword lunging. You're armor will protect you from any hard blows and the swords are dull-bladed. And remember, this is battle training. So don't let me catch any of you doing so.” Mr. Brock yelled with his rough, thundering voice. Mr. Brock, a large muscular man with a scar running down his arm, then strolled over to the side of the train arena. “You may begin! I will come by later and check on everyone's progress.” I grouped up with Wolfgang and Riley with James. Wolfgang and I took our positions. He did the first move, his sword came straight towards me with frighting speed. Thinking fast, I stepped backwards to the right and swung my sword left to knock his sword away from me. He nodded, “Nice blocking. Now you attack me.” I looked for a place to lunge at with my sword. I see he has left his ribs on the right side unguarded, so I charge at it. Wolfgang seen me coming and turned sideways and swung downward,forcing my blade into the ground. “Not bad,not bad at all.” Mr. Brock commented as he strolled up to us. “Thank you sir.” We both say at the same time. Mr. Brock nodded, “Miss Kairi, Professor Caomhnoir would like to see you in his office. No, you didn't doing anything wrong. I believe he is going to give you a scouting mission.” My shoulders sagged, nothing ever happened on scouting missions! Nevertheless, I made my way inside the academy and headed up the long stair case. I passed by pictures of landscapes and people along the way. Finally I made it to the Professor's office door,which had a carving of a willow tree on it. I never been in there before, so I was a bit nervous. I knock on the door, “Come in, please.” I push open the door and walk inside. I see Professor Caomhnoir at a desk with a black and white fluffy cat on his lap. He nodded, “It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Kairi Bellator. Come with me, I have a scouting mission for you.” He got up and the cat jumped down. Beckoning me with a hand, he made his way down the steps. I follow him. “On this scouting mission I want you to go into the woods then make your way across the swamp. I will be on the other side waiting for you. Write down every detail of your scouting mission on this scroll.” He says,handing me a scroll bag containing a scroll inside. I grab it.“Yes sir.” When we made downstairs the Prof. Lead me outside to the forest just North of the Academy. “This is were I leave you now. Good luck and stay safe.” He said as he picked up the cat, who followed us, and walked away. Might as well get this over with. I pushed through some bushes then jogged through the forest, scanning the area for anything usual. Even though nothing ever happens. I thought to myself. I stopped for a while to write down what I have seen so far. When you're new at the Academy you cannot speak to tell what you have seen during the first two scouting missions you do, instead you write it down. The teachers say it helps us to become more descriptive about what we saw or heard. This was my second scouting mission(first one I did was so boring) After writing a few things down I continued on my way. But then I heard some noises to my right behind a few trees and bushes. Quietly, I slowly made my way in the bushes and I looked through them. I seen soldiers sitting down on rocks or leaning on trees, and a small tent off to the side. Some of the soldiers,who looked like they were high in rank, stood in the middle discussing something. But they stop as someone came out of the tent and approached them. I gasped, it was the man in dark red that I seen at the Ceremony!

Some of the soldiers,who looked like they were high in rank, stood in the middle discussing something. But they stop as someone came out of the tent and approached them. I gasped, it was the man in dark red that I seen at the Ceremony!
Mother of god...it's da man in red...

Chapter 3

I remained hidden in the bushes as I watched and listened to them. “Where are the plans?” The man in red demanded. One commander reach into his pouch and pulled out a map that was rolled up neatly. “Here they are lord Hakai Nori.” They commander addressed him as he handed the map. Hakai Nori grabbed the map and rolled it out onto a rock. “Ok, I want you, Commander, to take 200 soldiers with you to go here by dawn tomorrow.” He pointed somewhere on the map. “I'll be somewhere over here with the rest of the soldiers and I send some down if need be. Only strike when I give the signal to.” the Commander nodded and went to carry out orders. I realized what they're planning, they're planning a to siege a town or place! But I don't know what...
Uh oh, I forgot to write this down. I take out the scroll and start writing stuff down quickly. But when I did I accidentally moved the bush around, making a Swish-swish noise. “What was that?” Somebody yelled. But I didn't stick around to see who. I got out of that bush and ran towards where the swamp was in the East, making sure I staid among the bushes and tall ferns to stay hidden. I didn't stop running until I reached the edge of the swamplands. “Ugh.” The Prof. was on the other side of this swamp. The swamp water had algae and moss all on top of it and I know at the bottom there was slick mud and rocks. I didn't want to go through the swamps but I had to get this important information to Professor Caomhnoir. Taking a deep breath, I step into the water. The water felt gross and went up past my waist. I started to wade through the swamp, careful not to slip on anything. I past trees with vine hanging low and I heard a bullfrog croaking nearby. And the temperature felt hot and sticky, which made me feel uncomfortable underneath my light armor. Then finally after wading a couple more feet I could see the end of the swamp with the Prof. and his cat standing there waiting for me to report. I quickened my pace, which is difficult to do in water. When I was just inches away from the shore, I felt my foot step on a slippery rock. Splash! I fall into the water head first. Groaning, I lift myself up out of the water and drag myself onto the land. I reach down and grab the scroll out of the scroll bag, then I hand it to the Professor. He takes it from and, after shaking off some moss, begins to read it as I sit down on the ground,trying to regain my breath. Then I felt something missing. I reach down to my neck and try to feel for my locket that came from my mother. It wasn't there! Panicking, I start looking around for it on the ground. “Are you all right Miss Kairi?” Prof. Caomhnoir asks. I stand up and face him, “I lost something in the swamp. I think it came off when I fell in the water. It was my mother's locket.” The Prof. nodded, “It is understandable why you are upset about it. But we got a bigger problem with what you just reported. Don't worry, I'll tell anybody else that does a scouting mission here to look out for your locket.” He then turned in the direction of the Academy. “I am going to hold a meeting with the other professors, you are free from any other training today. You look very tired from your scouting mission. I suggest you clean up and rest.” “Thank you sir.” Before leaving the swamp I gave the area were I fell one last good look for my locket. I didn't see it anywhere. Downcast, I turn to follow Prof. Caomhnoir back to the Warrior's Academy. The black and white cat was still following him, it seemed to follow him everywhere. “Why does that cat follow you around?” I blurted out. “Who? Mr. Merdock? His is my battle partner.” The Professor said as he let Mr Merdock jump on his shoulder. “Battle partner?” I was confused Prof. Caomhnoir adjusted his glasses before answering, “Yes, he is a special breed. Some warriors have these special cats and train them for battling. We use hand signals and a few words to tell them what to do in battles. They are quite useful and make great companions.” “Oh, so that's why I seen some senior students with cats.” He nodded as we approached the Academy doors, “Yes, I give some students cats so they can train them. I just don't let Senior students have them, I give them to anybody who has my trust. I must be off now and so should you. I trust we will meet again.” The Professor then goes inside the Academy with Mr Merdock at his heels. I head off for the student dorm house to clean up and to find Riley and Wolfgang so I could tell them what just happened. When I went in mine and Riley's dorm room there was nobody there. Must be at Battle Training still. I quickly clean up in the bathroom ,that is connected to the room, then get into some fresh, clean clothes. Much better. Ugh, I hate going through swamps now. “Hi Kairi. How has the scouting mission?” I turn to see Riley coming in the room. “Riley! You're not going to believe what I seen and heard! And also I know about the cats too!” I blurted out excitedly. “Hey slow down. I can barely make out what your saying.” I take a deep breath then tell Riley about my scouting trip: Hakai Nori, the swamp, and about the cats too. After I get done telling Riley she looks at me wide-eyed. “Wow. You're lucky you didn't get caught by those soldiers! Do you know what Prof. Caomhnoir is going to do about it?” I shook my head, “He only said he is going to hold a meeting with the other professors about the matter.” She shrugged, “Maybe we'll find out tomorrow what they have decided. We should probably hit the sack, it's getting late.” I look at the clock and realize it is almost 9:00, I was also getting pretty tired. “Ok, goodnight Riley.” I say as I crawl into my bed. Riley also climbs into her bed. “Goodnight.” She replied before turning off the lights.

Chapter 3 (part two)

I woke up early the next morning, eager to know about what the Professor decided to do about the soldiers. Riley got up with me as well, “Well somebody finally is happy to wake up early morning.” She laughed. I roll my eyes, “Whatever. Come on, let's go to the cafeteria and find Wolfgang and James. I haven't told them what happened yesterday yet.” We make our way to the cafeteria. The weather outside felt warmer than yesterday's with a gentle, warm breeze blowing in your face. Inside we get food(no way I'm forgetting about breakfast again) from the cafeteria's food line. At the table we normally sit at James was already there, munching on some hash-browns with ketchup on it. “Hey James. Where's Wolfgang?” I ask as I set my food tray down before sitting at the table. “He got sent on an early morning scouting mission.” He answered before taking another huge bit of hash-browns. Riley sat down next to me then said, “Wow. I didn't know they did early morning scout missions.” James just shrugged then continued eating,he's not really much of a talker I guess. We ate our breakfast quietly. Me and Riley had eggs and pancakes with a light topping of maple syrup on it. I was just finishing mine when I heard Prof. Caomhnoir calling me. I look up and see him standing at the cafeteria entrance with Mr Merdock on his shoulders. I excuse myself from the table then hurry over to him. “Do you need me sir?” The Professor nodded, “Yes. I wanted to let you know that me and the other professor have decided to send people on scouting missions in the area you last seen the soldiers at. Until we find out more about them we really can't do anything else.” He then looked out the cafeteria's entrance doors(for they are glass doors). “And here comes one of the scouts now.” I turn to look too. I see Wolfgang come into the cafeteria and walk up to us. “Hi Wolfgang.” I greeted him. He nodded at me then looked at the Professor, “I looked in that area and found evidence that soldiers were there. But they aren't there anymore, sir.”

Prof. Caomhnoir sighed, “I was afraid that was going to happen. I send a few senior students to try to find them. Miss Kairi are you sure you heard a soldier addresss the man in dark red 'Hakai Nori?'”I nodded. Prof. Caomhnoir adjusted his glasses and gave another sigh. He looked deeply troubled. “You two may go now.” He dismissed us. As we walk back to the table I ask Wolfgang,“So you already know about the soldier's?” He nodded, “Yep. By the way, missing something?” He then takes something out of his pocket and holds it out. I immediately recognize it, “My locket!” I take it from him and put it on. “Thanks Wolfgang.” He just grinned and said, “You're welcome. You need to keep better track of your stuff. I might not always be around to find your lost items.” I shook my head, “Not always be around? You planning to go somewhere?” “Nah. I was just saying that because you never know what might happen. Well I'll see you later,I'm going to go eat breakfast. You should head for the Great Hall, they want all first week students there today.” He said before heading for the cafeteria's food line. I look around the cafeteria and see Riley and James already making their way to the Great Hall, which was this huge hallway in the Academy that was used as the main hall. I run to catch up with them. When we made it to the Great Hall we found other first week students cleaning the hall. “Ah there you all are. Since to day is Saturday there will be no training today. And every time there are first week students they get to clean the Great Hall.” Prof. Notch, the history teacher, said as he strode up to us. “There are clean supplies over there and I expect this hallway to be clean. Don't stand there with you mouths open now, get with it. I'll be in my office if anybody requires my assistants.” He then walked off, dismissing us with a wave of his hand. We grabbed some clean rags and scrubbing water and start cleaning the Great Hall. “Well at least we don't have any training today.” James muttered. All the first week students worked together to get the Great Hall clean and spotless. The windows were wiped to were you could see through them clearly, the carpet was carefully dusted outside and rolled back on the hallway, and the walls were almost spotless.Some students were already leaving when only a few spots on the wall still needed to be wiped off. Me, along with a few other students, were finishing up wiping off the wall. Riley and James already left a while ago. Riley left to get changed because dirty water from the pails we used to scrub the windows with spilled on her (which was pretty funny at the time). And James left to go find Wolfgang. I was just about to scrub some dirt I found when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turn and see Wolfgang with a grim look on his face. He had armor on and sword in his hand, but not one of the practicing swords we have during training. It was his sword he had brought with him from Curcuribita Hollow. “Come with me Kairi, the Professor wants to see us in his office with Riley and James.” “Um, ok.” I stutter, not really knowing why he was so urgent right now. I set my cleaning supplies down and followed him down the hall. A few of the students who were still cleaning stared at us and whispered to one another, which made me more uncomfortable. We went up the stairs and Wolfgang lead me to Prof. Caomhnoir's office. Riley and James were there too, armed with swords and armor. “What's going on?” I look at Wolfgang. He didn't say anything. “Miss Kairi, something has terrible has happened.” Prof. Caomhnoir said.

Chapter 3(part 3)
I turn to face him. “What happened?” The Professor closed his eyes and stroked Mr Merdock, who was laying on the office desk. “Your hometown has been attacked by Hakai Nori's horde. I will be taking you four there. The horde may still be there and we need to make sure the people in the town are safe.” Shock swept over me. My legs started to fell like jelly but I remained upright. I look at James “Why are you going? Cururibita Hollow isn't your hometown...” “Mr James told me he wanted to go because he wanted to help Wolfgang's hometown. He insisted on going.” Prof. Caomhnoir said before turning to a closet. He opened it up and took out a sword and silver armor with rose designs on it. “Miss Kairi, since you do not have any armor of your own right now I would like you to have this. I should guard you well. And also take this sword.” He handed me the items. I took them, not knowing what to say. “Hurry up now. We must get there quick!” The Professor then turn to exit the office with Mr Merdock and the others hurrying after them. I quickly slip on the armor, which fit me very well, and grab the sword before running after them. I meet up with them outside where we all set off for Cururbita Hollow.

When we reached the foot of West Cururbita Hill I turned my fast paced jogging into full blast running. On top the hill I look down to see houses in ruins, some still smoldering from a fire. People were out in the street laying down injured people on blankets. Women dashed about with blankets or cloths to tend to those injured. And men were going into the wreckage of house to search for survivors. What happened to Uncle Bill and Aunt Jessie? Are they ok? Questions raced through my mind. The others had made it up the hill. “No! We're to late! They have already left.” The Professor scowled. We all ran down the hill to help the townsfolk. Once we reached the bottom the Professor turned to us and said, “You have permission to go try and find family members or friends,I must go talk to Mr Brock. He is the one who first seen the attack and sent somebody to alert me. Stay alert for any signs of the enemy.” Riley was the first to move. She ran in the direction of the farm while Wolfgang and James headed off to help some others who were moving some rubble from the ruined houses. I knew Riley was going to go find Uncle Bill and Aunt Jessie. So I turn in the direction of the local grocery store and run there. The grocery store (or more like what is left of it) was still standing but a few boards on the ceiling were caving in. I enter the store. “Mr Jackson are you here?” I ask out loud. I hear some noise in the back. “Yes I'm here, who is asking?”

I let out a sigh, Mr Jackson was still here. I make my way to the back and find Mr Jackson trying to push some wrecked cracker barrels out of his way. “It's me,Kairi, Mr Jackson. Here, let me help you find somewhere to sit down.” I push the barrels out of the way and help him out on the store's porch. “Thank you Kairi. Oh my... the town.” Mr Jackson looked over the town with sadness in his eyes. But then they changed to anger, “Whoever has done this should be punished severely!” I said nothing, thinking about what he had said. I then remember about my aunt and uncle. “I need to go Mr Jackson. Please stay safe.” I wave goodbye to him as I jog towards the farm. As I did I could see children huddled up close together near the cluster of people in the street. Some were crying and some just sitting there with an expression of shock over there faces. This should of never happened to them. I thought as I come up to the farmhouse where my aunt and uncle live. I found Riley with Aunt Jessie,who was sobbing uncontrollably. Then I see some men carrying out my uncle on some blankets. “Is he alright?” I ask one of them urgently. One man shook his head, “I'm not sure. He has been severely wounded.” I felt knots in my stomach. Then I notice Mr Brock and Prof. Caomhnoir walking up to me. “It looks like what I have feared has happened.” The Professor said. “With what?” I ask. Mr Brock shook his head, “Hakai Nori used to be a warrior, a good one to. But then one day he decided to try to take over the land. He was stopped and we banished him. And we never heard anything else about him until now...” The Professor nodded. “It's terrible. He has come back for revenge on us.” He then frowned, “ And this time he has a horde at his command.” “So wait, You know who Hakai Nori was all this time?” Prof. Caomhnoir shook his head, “I did not know for sure if it really was him. I feared it was though, and now look at the damage he has caused.” His eyes swept over the town's ruins. He then sighed, “Come along Mr Brock. We must see all the damage that was caused so we know what to do to rebuild the town.” They left to survey the town. I could still hear Aunt Jessie's sobs and Riley's soft voice trying to calm her. “So, what next?” I turn and see Wolfgang standing there looking at me. I close my eyes. The man wanted to take over the land, which meant more towns will be destroyed. I could go after him, but if I did that meant I couldn't help my hometown rebuild homes to shelter them from anymore harm. But if I stayed that meant that tyrant would terrorize the land and hurt or kill more people.... I took a deep breath and opened my eyes, making my final decision. I look out towards the setting sun, “Wolfgang, I'm going after Hakai Nori. I don't know how I'm going to do it but I will find a way to stop him for good. If he is gone the land will be safe again.” I look back him. He nodded, “I couldn't said it better myself. I'm with you, Silver Warrior.” I assumed he called me “Sliver Warrior” because of the silver I have on. I nodded back. Watch out Hakai Nori, because I will find a way to stop you. This is my home and I will not let you take without a fight!

Chapter 4(part 1)
The past two days felt slow. And I still haven't found a way how to sneak out of the Academy so I could find Hakai Nori. At night they have a few selected students to do guard duty. I could sneak out then, but I'll still have to find a way how to distract the guarding students. Hmm...
“What are you thinking about Kairi?” I snapped out of my thoughts when Wolfgang pokes me in the arm with his pencil. We were in history class, Which is the last class for the day, and Prof. Notch was just finishing up about, uhh, some ancient ruins of, Um, something(shows how much I pay attention). I whisper back to Wolfgang, “Can't tell you right now.” I couldn't tell him what I was planning yet, somebody could overhear us and tell one of the teachers. He responded back with a nod. Then the tower bells rang out loudly, telling us that class was over. “Remember class, I want everyone to write a report about any ancient ruins of your choice in two weeks. There are books in the library that could be of aid to you in this assignment.” Prof. Notch said as students headed out of the classroom. When I got out of the classroom I waited for Wolfgang, Riley, and James to catch up with me. Once we meet up we headed for the library. “So, you looked pretty deep in thought in class. Are you still planning on following Hakai No-” “Shush! We can't discuss this right here! Wait until we get to the library. I quickly cut off Wolfgang. “Kairi is planning on doing what?” Riley asked. “I said not here! I'll explain in the library.” I have not told Riley anything about how I plan to find Hakai Nori. Wolfgang already knows that I plan on following the warlord, but I do not know if he had told James anything about it. We came upon the large, wooden doors of the library and entered them. Inside the library a few students were looking around the bookshelves, reading, playing boardgames, or quietly talking with others. In one corner of the library there was an empty table, so we sat down at it. “So, what are you planning?” Riley said as she leaned in closer to me. “Remember that guy the Professor said raided Cururibita Hollow?” I quietly ask her, so no other students can hear what we're talking about. Riley Nodded, “Yeah, Haiki Nori I think it was.” “Well, I plan on following him.” Riley looked at me wide eyed and James just shrugged. “How are you going to follow him?” He asked. I shook my head, “I'm not really sure. But I was thinking about sneaking out tonight past the other students who are on guard duty. But I don't know how I'm going to distract them.” “Is there really a need to distract them? We can just slip past them when they are changing guard shifts. They won't be paying attention as much. And If need be we will create a distraction.” Wolfgang said. I think for a moment, “I think that will work. But I also noticed you said 'we', are you guys going too? I mean, you don't have to go because of me.” Riley put a hand up, “What do you mean we don't have to go? You're my cousin and we stick together.” Wolfgang nodded, “And I have to go to make sure you don't get into any trouble. Plus, it was our hometown that got raided by that villain.” I nod back then look at James, “You're going to? But it wasn't your hometown that got destroyed.” Jame yawned, “I'm coming because it seem a lot more adventurous than doing the same battle training and history.” I smiled, “Thanks guys. Where are we going to meet before we leave?” We then decided to meet by the bushes near the cafeteria at sunset. The guards will just think we're going for a walk around the Academy. “Ok, so now lets go pack. But keep it light so nobody will be suspicious of us.” Wolfgang said. Then we parted ways to get ready, sunset would be in an hour. Me and Riley started for the dorm house, we got about half-way there when I realized something. “Uh-oh, I left my study book in the library. I better go get it.” “You're always forgetting stuff!” Riley said as I started to run to the library. I made it to the library and found my study book on the table we were at. I grab it and quickly went out in the Great Hall where I almost ran into Prof. Caomhnoir. “We'll somebody is in a hurry. Going somewhere Miss Kairi?” “Uh, yes. I forgot my study book in the library and now I'm going back the the dorm house.” I stutter nervously. “Ah. So you're not planning on meeting up with your friends outside?” He asks. “Well...” “And you're not going off to try and follow somebody are you? Hakai Nori perhaps?” I look at him dumbfound. He turned around, “I want you and your friends in my office. Hurry up now. And also, next time you're plotting something make sure the HeadMaster of the academy isn't on the other side of the book shelve that's near your table.” He started to walk away. My shoulder sagged, We are so busted.

Chapter 4(part 2):
I go outside and find Wolfgang, Riley, and James already near the bushes waiting for me. “There you are! Don't worry I already have your stuff packed.” Riley said, holding up a backpack. “There's no need to now. We have to go to the Professor's office now.” They all gave me quizzical looks so I explained what happened. “Oh great. We're in trouble now.” James grumbled. We walk up the stairs to the Professor's office door. After knocking the Professor opened the door and let us in. “So, you wanted to follow Hakai Nori without my permission and also with very little supplies packed.” None of us said anything. He sighed then said, “I suppose you all think you're going to be punished. But I have decided that you all would still find a way to go after him. So I will be accompanying you all, none of you know the land very well and it is quite dangerous out there with out an experienced warrior's help. More supplies are already pack in the cafeteria.” “Wait, you're letting us go?” I ask, once again dunbfounded. The Professor nodded, “I agree with you. Hakai Nori does need to be stopped. Now hurry up all of you and gather your supplies. Except for you Kairi, I have something to show you.” The others, who were all as shocked as I was, started for the cafeteria to get their supplies. I turn back the the Professor, who was taking something out of a box. Mr Merdock jumped onto the desk and meowed at me, so I rub his ears while I waited for the Professor. “Here we are.” He said as he turned to the desk and laid something on it. It was a small kitten, with a silver pelt and bright blue eyes. “Aww, he so cute.” Prof. Caomhnoir nodded, “He is the same breed as Mr Merdock. But he is smaller than a normal kitten his age. He also has another problem. Wave your hand a foot away from his face.” I did so, the kitten didn't seem to notice and meowed loudly instead. “Now do it closer to his face.” I wave my hand closer. This time the kitten responded by batting a paw at my hand, thinking this was a game. “He's blind.” I murmured. “Partially he is. I don't think any other student would want him. So I give him to you, you seem kind-hearted enough to train a half blind cat. That is if you accept to train him.” I look back at the kitten, think how unfair it was that nobody wanted him because of his blindness. “I accept.” The Professor clapped his hands together, “Good, you can take him with you. Now go get your supplies. Me and Mr Merdock will be there shortly.” I nodded. Then, carefully grabbing the kitten first, I go downstairs and walk to the cafeteria with the others. In there I found my armor, a sword, and a backpack full of supplies all ready to go. Wolfgang seen the kitten and said, “Nice cat” Before anybody else could say anything the Professor came inside the cafeteria, with Mr Merdock, and hurried us outside. “It is good to get a good start before it gets any darker. Let's go South, Mr Brock he said that some scouts seen some signs of them going that way.” He pushed us on in that direction while his cat walked behind us and meowed loudly, as if he was giving us orders too. By this time the sun was setting and the temperature was dropping a bit too. “Watch out for Shadow Creatures, though most don't harm us some can get pretty hostile at night.” Prof. Caomhnoir warned. I felt a shiver go down my spine, I remember when a Shadow Creature attacked me before when I was younger. Luckily my uncle got there to scare it off with his pitchfork before it injured me severely. But I do still have a small scar from it, and a headful of memories too. “Once we make it over this hill we'll find a place to set camp. It is getting to dark to travel any further.” The Professor said. We climbed the rest of the hill and stopped at top of it. I surveyed the area, there was a little bit of woodland to the right next to some large rocks. “Is that a good place to set up camp?” I ask Prof. Caomhnoir as I point at some pine trees next to a large rock. He looked at the place where I pointed at and nodded. “It looks a little to expose to elements but it will have to do. The sun is almost down and we need to set camp.” The kitten, who had climbed inside on of my backpack pockets, started to meow. “He must be hungry.” I though aloud. We all make are way to the pine trees and set down our backpacks. When I set down mine the kitten jumped onto my shoulder and meowed, for a half-blind cat he seem to know how to get around pretty well. Wolfgang and James looked for wood for a fire while me and Riley got out sleeping bags and set them underneath the pines tree. The Professor seemed to be surveying the area for any danger because he stood by the giant boulder, looking around. “Something doesn't seem right.” Wolfgang said as he set down some wood to start a fire with. Mr Merdock sat on a nearby rock and seemed to be alert too. The kitten on my shoulder then started to growl. Then I heard some louder growling behind me. I turn around to see a Shadow Lupus snarling at me, I could see his teeth almost perfectly. “Shadow Lupus!” I yelled out before it lunged at me. I jump out of it's way before it reached me then grabbed my sword, which was leaning against the giant boulder. Professor Caomhnoir turned around and did a high pitch whistle. Mr Merdock, was hissing at the Shadow Lupus, ran at it and jumped on its face scratching it. Mr Merdock jumped off of its face before it could snap at him. Wolfgang grabbed his sword and started for the Shadow creature. “Wait, don't kill it if there is no need to. It is only protecting its territory. Try scaring it off first.” The Professor said. Wolfgang nodded and put his sword back on his belt, then he grab some wood and started chucking it at the Shadow Lupus. James, who still had his load of wood in his arms, started throwing some too. Riley took out some traveling pans and banged on them. I tried scaring it off by waved my hands in the air at it. The Shadow Lupus looked confused and mad. It whirled around towards me and stared. I shouted at it to scare it off into the woods but it didn't seem to work instead, it charged at me with his lips curled back. I was up against the boulder so I couldn't jump out of the way this time. I could only do one thing. When it was almost upon me I swung my sword at the shadow creature's front legs. It stopped and howled in pain, then ran off into the forest with its tail between it's legs. “Miss Kairi are you alright?” The Professor asked urgently as he ran up to me. I nod, “I'm fine. But that Shadow Lupus startled me.” The others also were next to me. Riley looked as shocked as I did while James kept cool. Wolfgang had a look of worry and bent over to help me up. “Well you're going have to get used to this. I'm sure we're going to bump into more trouble on this journey. And trust me, it will be worst than this.” Prof. Caomhnoir informed, then looked at the kitten that was still on my shoulder, “Interesting, he seemed to sense the danger before Mr Merdock did. His sense of hearing and scent must make up for his blindness. Well now since that little excitement is over we should all settled down for the night, don't worry about a fire. But we also need to post night watches, any volunteers to do the first?” “I will.” I said, I felt wide awake after all that 'little excitement' as the Professor put it. He nodded, “Ok, wake up James after about 2 hours so he can take his shift.” Everyone settled into there sleeping bags while I climbed on a smaller boulder to keep watch. The kitten jumped into my lap. I stroke his back, “I think I'll call you Star, because that what your pelt looks like.” I whisper to Star, who looked at me and purred. I then look up into the forest. The Professor said that would be worst things ahead of us and called the Shadow Lupus a 'little excitement'. What other Shadow Creatures or obstacles are out there?
Edit: Had to put this in parts again. Also sorry for the long wait :confused:
